Install and uninstall the software with administrator authorization. ● ● Before installing the software, check your operating environment (P.78) and close any other software applications which are running. Do not perform other computer operations while installing the software. Do not connect this unit to the computer until installation is complete.\ Install VideoCam Suite only from the supplied CD-ROM. Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your computer. The installation program begins automatically and the message appears on\ the screen. Click [Next]. Select the folder where the application will be installed and click [Nex\ t]. Decide whether to create a shortcut. Select the country or region where you live and click [Next]. Check the message prompting you to confirm and click [YES]. If you cannot select your country or region, click [NTSC Area]. ● ● Click [Install] and follow the directions appearing on the screen to complete the installation. If the installation is interrupted halfway through, the software may not operate properly. If using Windows 2000, Microsoft DirectX 9.0c must be installed in order to operate VideoCam Suite 2.0. Depending on the operating environment, you may be required to install DirectX 9.0c. If so, follow the instruction on the screen and install it. If you install the software on a PC that is not compatible with DirectX 9.0c, the PC may not work properly. If you are unsure whether or not your PC is compatible, contact the PC manufacturer. ● ● ● ● ● ● [Readme] is displayed when the installation is completed. Be sure to che\ ck the contents. Click [Finish]. Select “Yes, I want to restart my computer now.” to automatically restart the computer and complete the installation. Eject the CD-ROM from the computer. After the installation is finished, the icon [ ] is displayed in the task tray. If the Setup Menu does not start up automaticallyDouble-click the CD-ROM icon [] containing the CD-ROM drive in [Computer (My Computer)]. Uninstalling the softwareFor Windows Vista From the Start menu, select [Control Panel] → [Programs] → [Uninstall a Program]. For Windows 2000 or XP Click [Start] → ([Settings] →) [Add or Remove Programs (Applications)] in the [Control Panel]. ● ● Select [VideoCam Suite 2.0] and click [Uninstall (Remove)] or [Uninstall/Remove]. Continue to follow the on-screen messages to uninstall it. After uninstalling the software, restart the computer.
