Shut power off and turn back on. THIS CARD CANNOT RECORD IN VIDEO MODE.An 8 MB or 16 MB SD card cannot be used in Video Recording Mode. CHECK CARD.The SD card is not supported or cannot be recognized by the unit. CARD LOCKED.The SD card is write-protected. (P.19) CARD FULL. The SD card cannot be recorded on because it is full or the numbers of scenes or numbers of scenes for the date has reached the maximum. Either delete unnecessary scenes or insert a new card. (P.62)SCENE NUMBER IS FULL CANNOT RECORD. THE NUMBER OF PROGRAM IS FULL. CARD DOOR OPENED.Close the card/battery door. ERROR OCCURRED. RECORDING IS STOPPED. Charge the battery if the remaining battery life indication is flashing or the [LOW BATTERY.] message appears on the LCD monitor. (P.22) The battery runs down quickly. Is the battery sufficiently charged? Is the unit being used in low temperatures? The battery is affected by ambient temperature. In cold places, battery availability shortens. Is the battery at the end of its service-life? If the battery lasts only a short while when fully charged, it has reached the end of its service-life. ● ● ● The battery is swollen. The lithium ion battery used with this unit may swell if charged/discharged often, but this is no risk to safety. The unit cannot be operated though it is turned on. The unit does not operate normally. Is the LCD monitor open? Check that the card access lamp is out, then eject the SD card, remove the battery or disconnect the AC adaptor, wait about 1 minute, then reinsert the battery or reconnect the AC adaptor. Then about 1 minute later, shut power off and turn back on. Save important data on a computer, etc. The SD card cannot be used even after formatting with this unit.This unit or the SD card may be broken. Consult the dealer from which you purchased the unit. For SD cards applicable with this unit (P.18) The unit does not recognize the SD card when inserted.Was the SD card formatted on the computer? Format SD cards with the unit. Formatting deletes all data on the SD card. Data cannot be restored afterwards. (P.64) The indication disappears, the display does not work or cannot be operated. Is the unit connected to a computer? When connected to a computer, the unit cannot be operated from the unit itself. Shut the power off. If power does not shut off, eject the SD card, remove and then reinsert the battery (disconnect and reconnect the AC adaptor), and turn back on. If the unit still does not work right, disconnect the power supply and consult the dealer from which you purchased the unit. ● ● ProblemWhat to check The SD card is not recognized when inserted into other devices. Check the supported SD cards in the device’s operating instructions. The computer does not recognize the unit even when connected with USB cable. While the menu appears on the LCD monitor, the USB function screen does not appear even if the USB cable is connected. Close the menu, then connect the USB cable. Is the AC adaptor connected? If the computer has multiple USB terminals, try using another terminal. Check the operating environment. (P.78) Disconnect the USB cable, shut the power off and turn back on, then reconnect the cable. ● ● ● ● ● After disconnecting the USB cable, an error message appears on the computer.
