    When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
    1.   Read all instructions.
    2.   Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
    3.    To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs and Rice Cooker in water or other liquid.
    4.   Appliance should not be operated by any individual under the age of\
     18.
    5.    Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
    6.    Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been 
    damaged in any manner.
         Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
    7.     The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
    8.   Do not use outdoors.
    9.   Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
    10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
    11.  Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or \
    other hot liquids.
    12. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet.
     To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
    13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
    14.   This applicace is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental 
    capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been\
     given supervision or instruction

    A.     A short power supply cord set is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

    SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
    Please be sure to follow these instructions.
     The following charts indicate the degree of damage caused by wrong oper\
    ation.
     The symbols are classified and explained as follows.
    This symbol indicates prohibition.
    This symbol indicates requirement that must be followed.
    In order to prevent accidents or injuries to the user, other people, and damage to property, please follow the 
    instructions below.
    Warning Indicates serious injury or death.
    Caution  Indicates risk of injury or property damage if the appliance was mishandled.
     Discontinue using appliance immediately when abnormal operation or break down occurs
    (lt may cause smoke fire or electric shock.)
    (e.g. For abnormal operation or break down.)
     The Power Plug and / or the Power Cord becomes abnormally hot.
     The Power Cord is damaged or power to the unit fails when touched.
     The main body is deformed or abnormally hot.
     The unit wobbles, has cracks or loose parts.
    Please unplug the appliance and contact the store or an authorized service center .
      Do not use the appliance if the Power Cord or Power Plug is damaged or loosely connected to the power outlet.
       
    This appliance is not intended for use by persons (Including children) with reduced 
    physical,  sensory  or  mental  capabilities,  or  lack  of  experience  and  knowledge, 
    unless  they  have  been  given  supervision  or  instruction  concerning  use  of  the 
    appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised

     Do not damage the Power Cord and do not attempt to repair it if it is damaged.
      Make sure the voltage supplied to the appliance is the same as your local supply. (Otherwise it may cause electrical shock or fire.) 
     Do not immerse the appliance in water.
     Do not plug or unplug the Power Plug with wet hands.
    (Using the Rice Cooker together with other equipment in the same outlet may cause overheating and fire.)
    Avoid damage to the Power Cord. Never attempt to customize the Power Cord. Keep the Power Cord away from high temperatures. Avoid bending, twisting or pulling on the Power Cord. Never place heavy objects on the Power Cord or attempt to tie it up.(Using a damaged Power cord may cause a short circuit or electrical shock.)
    (It may cause an electric shock.)
    If water enters into the unit base, do not use it. 
    (It may cause shorting or electrical shock.)
    Once the product has problem, contact the store or an authorized service center.
     Do not modify, disassemble or repair the appliance. 
     Insert the Power Plug firmly. Do not use a broken Power Plug or loose power outlet.
    (Otherwise it may cause an electric shock and fire caused by the heat that may genarate around the Power Plug.)
    (Excessive dust on the Power Plug may cause poor insulation due to humidity, which in 
    turn may cause a fire.)  
    Remove the Power Plug and wipe it with a dry cloth.
    (Otherwise, it may cause a fire, electric shock or injury.)
      Do not insert metal objects such as pins, needles or other foreign objects in the steam vent or any portion of the unit.
    (It may cause an electrical shock or abnormal operation, leading or injury.)
    (It may cause a fire, electric shock or injury.)
     Wipe off any dust that has gathered on the Power Plug regularly.
      If  the  supply  cord  is  damaged,  it  must  be  replaced  by  the  manufacturer  or  factory  authorized  Service 
    Center in order to avoid a hazard.
    Please contact the store or an authorized service center.

     Do not use the appliance on the following places.
      In places where it is subjected or splashed with water or near a heat source.  (It may cause an electric shock, electrical leak or fire.)
      On uneven surfaces or a non heat resistant carpet.  (It may cause a burn, injury or fire.)
      Near a wall, furniture or direct sunlight.  (It may cause discoloration or deformation.)
    Do not expose the Power Plug to steam when it is plugged in.  (It may cause a short circuit or fire.) When placing the appliance on a sliding type table, make sure it is positioned in a manner where the Power Plug is not subjected or exposed to steam.
     Be sure to hold the Power Plug when unplugging the Power Plug. 
     Please allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning it.
     Take extra care while handling the appliance when the pan contains hot liquids.
     Unplug the Power Plug from the power outlet when the appliance is not in use.
    (Otherwise it may cause an electric shock, short circuit or fire.)
    (Touching hot elements may cause a burn.)
    (Otherwise it may cause a burn or injury.)
    (Otherwise, it may cause an electric shock and fire caused by a short circuit due to the insulation deterioration.)
     Do not expose the Power Plug to steam.
    CAUTION
     Do not touch the heating elements while the appliance is in use or after cooking.
     Do not use other Pans that are not specifically specified for this unit.
      Never  leave  the  Power  Plug  connected  to  the  power  outlet  while  the  Pan  is  not  in  the  appliance  or  the appliance is not in use.
    Especially the Lid, Heater and Pan.  (It may cause a burn.)
    (It may cause a burn or injury due to overheating and unit will malfunction.)
    (The inside of the Body gets overheated when switched on by mistake. It may cause a burn.)
    ‘ This applaince has a polarized plug ( one blade is wider than other ). To reduce the risk of electric shock , this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet one way . If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet , reverse the plug. If it still does not fit , contact a qualified Electrician . Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way .’’

    USAGE PRECAUTIONS
        Before using the Rice Cooker for the first time, remove the Scoop and Measuring Cup from the Pan and the packing paper kept between the Pan and the Heater. 
        Make sure the Pan is sitting properly in the Body. Keep the outside of the Pan and the Heater clean and dry.  If  the  Pan  is  not  positioned  correctly  or  has  any  foreign  matter  between  the  Pan  surface  and  the Heater, the Switch may pop up before cooking is complete and the heater may be damaged. Do not use unit if it has foreign matter such as rice or other debris between the heater and the pan.
    The Pan should not be caught on the ledge above the Heater.The Pan should not be caught on the edge of the Body.

     When cooking other than rice, ensure that the Lid is removed to prevent overflow.
     Do not use the Pan directly on the open flame.
    Note: This  Rice  Cooker  has  been  designed  with  a  thermal  fuse  which  may  shut  off  the  electric  supply 
    when any abnormality occurs (as mentioned above).
     Do not press down the Switch continuously by force or use any object to hold it from popping up.
     Do not hit or rub it.
     Do not wash with cleaner, scrubbing brush or nylon brush.
     Do not bump it to hard things.
     Do not wash dishes inside the Pan.
     Do not use metal utensils such as spoons and forks in the Pan.
     Do not mix vinegar in the Pan when making sushi rice.
     Do not use whisk to wash rice.
     Do not use a metal ladle.
     Wash the Pan immediately after cooking if seasoning was used.
     Any residue of vinegar or salt may cause the Pan to corrode.
     Prevent insects and cockroaches from entering the electrical portion of the Rice Cooker by keeping it clean. 
      Do not use the Rice Cooker if the Pan is dented or damaged as it may permanently damage the heater. Get in touch with your store or an authorized service center.

    Measure rice with the provided Measuring Cup. One cup of uncooked rice 
    makes  approximately  2  cups  of  cooked  rice.  Rice  should  be  leveled  with 
    the  brim  of  the  Measuring  Cup  as  shown  in  figure.  Wash  rice  in  another 
    bowl until water becomes relatively clear.
      Put washed rice in the Pan. Refer to the markings on the Pan.
    e.g. To cook 6 cups of rice, put the rice into the Pan and then add water to the LEVEL INDICATOR 6.
    Adjust water quantity to your taste.

    Set  the  Pan  in  the  Rice  Cooker.  To  place  correctly  on  the  Heater,  turn 
    the  Pan  gently  to  right  and  left.  Cover  with  the  Lid  and  let  rice  soak 
    approximately 30 minutes. 
    HOW TO USE
      Press the Switch. The “Cooking” indicator (Orange) shows you cooking has started.
       When rice is done, the Switch will pop up. The “Keep Warm” indicator changes to orange to signal “Keep Warm” function is working. 
      After the Switch pops up, leave the Lid covered for at least 15 minutes to steam rice.
      Unplug after use. Grasp the Power Plug, not the Power Cord.
    Then  mix  the  rice  well  by  using  the  Scoop  to  allow  water  vapour  to  escape  (especially  when  cooking towards maximum quantity).
      Plug in. The Power indicator Lamp lights.
    Do not plug in until ready to cook.Otherwise, the Rice Cooker will turn into “Keep Warm” function and rice may be spoiled.
    If you do not set the Pan in the Rice Cooker, the Switch cannot be pressed.

    The 2 Dish Separator is a shallow pan, which can be placed on the Pan enabling you to cook 2 dishes 
    at the same time. The figures above show you how to set the 2 Dish Separator.
    COOKING
    Vegetables,  quick  cooking  pulses,  sprouts,  fish,  marinated  chicken  etc.,  can  be  cooked  in  the  2  Dish 
    Separator while cooking 2 to 5 cups of rice in the Pan.
    STEAMING
    You can use the 2 Dish Separator for steaming vegetables and other steam cooking dishes. To use as 
    a steamer, pour 1 or 2 cups of water in the Pan of  the Rice Cooker. When the water in the Pan starts 
    boiling, place the 2 Dish Separator on the Pan. Switch off the Rice Cooker manually when the dish is 
    done.
    WARMING 
    To use as a warmer, place the food to be heated over the boiling water in the Pan for 5 to 10 minutes 
    You can also do this when some other dish is being cooked in the Pan.

    HOW TO STEAM FOODS
    Add water to the Pan and put the Pan into the Body.
    Place the Steaming Basket on the Pan. Add food in the Steaming 
    Basket. (Place it on a dish if required).
    Cover the Rice Cooker with the Lid.
    Plug in and press the Switch. 
    The orange “Cooking” indicator shows you steaming has started.
    Time the cooking manually.
    * The Rice Cooker will automatically switch to “Keep Warm”, when water has evaporated.
    * Remember that foods will continue to cook on “Keep Warm”. There must be water in the Pan.
    Turn off the Rice Cooker by unplugging.
    Remove foods, then the Steaming Basket, and then finally pour off water.

    KEEP WARM FUNCTION 
    HOW TO CLEAN
      
    After cooking is completed, the “Keep Warm” function automatically works until the cord is unplugged.
     Always unplug before taking the Pan out of the Rice Cooker.
     Do not switch to “Cooking” again during “Keep Warm” function.
     Do not keep rice warm for more then 5 hours.
     Do not use the “Keep Warm” function to reheat cold rice.
     Unplug before cleaning.
     Do not immerse the Rice Cooker in water or any other liquid. Wipe with a well-wrung cloth.
       Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool.  
    Clean with non-metal brush or sponge.
     Please use a dry cloth to gently clean the heater.
