To display the operation page of RoomView from Web Control screen, access with the administrator rights is required. (The [CRESTRON RoomView] button is not displayed on the Web Control screen for user rights.) When you click [CRESTRON RoomView], the RoomView operation page is displayed. If Adobe Flash Player is not installed in your computer, or if the browser does not support Flash, this page does not appear. Manage the indicated problems as follows.Attention z When switching of f the power to deal with problems, make sure to follow the procedure in “Switching of f the projector” ( page 38). Note z Check the status of the power supply with the power indicator . ( page 36) 7HPSHUDWXUHLQGLFDWRU7(03!/DPSLQGLFDWRU/$03! ▶■Lamp indicator Indicator status Illuminating red Flashing red Problem Time to replace the lamp unit. ( page 103) Lamp circuit failure, abnormal function, or lamp unit is damaged. Cause z Is [REPLACE LAMP] displayed when you turned on the power? zThe indicator illuminates when the lamp usage time (converted value)*1 reaches 2 800 hours. z Have you turned on the power again immediately after turning it of f? zLamp circuit failure, abnormal function, or lamp unit is damaged. Solution z Replace the lamp unit. zW ait a while until the luminous lamp cools off and turn off the main power, and then turn on the power again. z T urn the switch to ( page 38), and consult your dealer . *1: The lamp usage time (converted value) is displayed in the [PROJECT OR SETUP] menu → [LAMP RUNTIME] ( page 68). Note zIf the lamp indicator is still illuminating or flashing after taking the preceding measures, ask your dealer to repair the unit.

and indicators 98 - ENGLISH Maintenance ▶■Temperature indicator Indicator status z Illuminates red during projection. (The message [REFER TO THE “TEMP indicator” SECTION IN THE OPERATION MANUAL.] is displayed on the projection screen.) z Flashing red when the power is turned of f (projection stops automatically). Problem The temperature inside and/or outside the projector is abnormally high. Cause z Is the ventilating p ort (intake/exhaust) blocked? z Is the room temperature too high? zIs the air filter unit clogged? zIs the projector used at high elevations 1 400 m (4 593 ft) or higher sea level? Solution z Remove any objects that are blocking the ventilating port (intake/exhaust). zPlace the projector in an environment with temperature and humidity as designated in the specifications. ( page 119) zClean or replace the air filter unit. ( page 99) zThe projector can only be used for two m inutes after turning on the power. Set [HIGH ALTITUDE MODE] ( page 67) to [ON] within two minutes of turning on the power. Note z If the temperature indicator is still illuminating or flashing after taking the preceding measures, ask your dealer to repair the unit.

Maintenance/replacement ENGLISH - 99 Maintenance Maintenance/replacement Before maintaining/replacing the unit zMake sure to turn of f the power before maintaining or replacing the unit. ( pages 35, 38) zWhen turning of f the power, make sure to follow the procedures in “Switching off the projector” ( page 38). Maintenance ▶■ Outer case Wipe off dirt and dust with a soft, dry cloth. ▶z If the dirt is persistent, soak the cloth with water and wring it thoroughly before wiping. Dry of f the projector with a dry cloth. ▶z Do not use benzene, thinner , or rubbing alcohol, other solvents, or household cleaners. Using them may cause deterioration of the outer case. ▶z When using chemical treated dusters, follow the instructions. ▶■ Lens If dirt or dust accumulates on the surface of the lens, it will be enlarged and projected onto the screen. Wipe off dirt and dust off the front surface of the lens with a soft clean cloth. ▶z Do not use a cloth that is fluf fy, dusty, or soaked with oil/water. ▶zDo not use excessive force when wiping the lens as it is fragile. Attention z The lens is made of glass. Impacts or excessive force when wiping may scratch its surface. Please handle with care. ▶■ Air filter unit If too much dust accumulates in the air filter unit, the internal temperature of the projector cannot be maintained at the normal level. A confirmation message is displayed on the screen, and at the same time the temperature indicator illuminates red. The power is cut off automatically after a while. In such a case, clean the air filter unit. 1) Remove the air filter cover . ▶zUse a Phillips screwdriver to turn the air filter cover fixing screw until it turns freely , and then remove the air filter cover . Maintenance/replacement 100 - ENGLISH Maintenance 2) Pull out the air filter unit. ▶zHold the grips on the air filter unit and pull out the air filter unit from the projector . Air filter unit Grips (arrow engra\vve\f) • After removing the air filter unit, remove any large build ups of dirt or dust in the air filter unit bay and the air intake port on the projector . 3) Clean the air filter unit. ▶zVacuum dirt and dust from the air filter unit. 4) Attach the air filter unit to the projector . ▶zPerform Step 2) in the reverse order. • Insert the air filter unit into the projector in the direction of the arrow engraved into the air filter frame () until it clicks into place. 5) Attach the air filter cover to the projector and use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the air filter cover fixing screw (one screw). ▶z Perform Step 1) in the reverse order. Attention z Make sure that the air filter is properly attached before using the projector . If it is not properly attached, the projector will suck in dirt and dust causing a malfunction. z Do not use water to wash the air filter unit. Doing so decreases its ability to absorb dust.
