     JLamp unit
The lamp unit is a consumable component. See "When to replace the lamp unit" about the lifespan.
It is recommended to ask an authorized engineer to replace the lamp unit. Contact your dealer.
Consult your dealer to purchase a replacement lamp unit.
    (for PT-CW330U / PT-CX300U: ET-LAC300; for PT-CW240U: ET-LAC200)
    CAUTION:
    ■ Do not replace the lamp unit when it is hot. (Wait at least 1 hour after use.) The inside of the cover can become very hot, take care to avoid burn inj\
    uries.
JNotes on the replacement of the lamp unit
The luminous source of the lamp is made of glass and may burst if you hi\
t it against a hard surface or drop z
    it. Please handle with care.
A Phillips screwdriver is required for replacement of the lamp unit.
     z
Be careful of hands slip when you using a screwdriver. z
When replacing the lamp unit, be sure to hold it by the base. z
When replacing the lamp because it has stopped illuminating, there is a \
possibility that the lamp may be z
broken. If replacing the lamp of a projector which has been installed on\
     the ceiling, you should always
assume that the lamp is broken, and you should stand to the side of the \
    lamp cover, not underneath it.
Remove the lamp cover gently. Small pieces of glass may fall out when the lamp cover is opened. If pieces
of glass get into your eyes or mouth, seek medical advice immediately.
The lamp contains mercury. Consult your local municipality or your dealer about correct disposal \
    of used
     z
    lamp units.
    Attention
Be sure to use the lamp unit specified. z
    Note
The part numbers of accessories and separately sold components are subje\
ct to change without notice. z
JWhen to replace the lamp unit
The lamp unit is a consumable component. Brightness decreases according \
    to duration of usage, so
periodical replacement of the lamp unit is necessary. The estimated duration before replacement is 3 000
hours for PT-CW330U / PT-CX300U and 3 500 hours for PT-CW240U. However, this may be shortened
depending on individual lamp characteristics, usage conditions, and the \
    installation environment. Therefore, it
is strongly recommended that a replacement lamp unit be prepared.
When the projection lamp of the projector reaches its end of life, the w\
arning message appears on the screen.
Replace the lamp with a new one promptly.
Model nameLamp runtime On screen:Warning Lamp message

If the lamp is used over 2 970 hours, the warning message will
appear. When any button is pressed, the message will disappear.
PT-CW240U Over 3 470 hours * If the lamp is used over 3 470 hours, the warning message will
appear. When any button is pressed, the message will disappear.
    Note
The lamp replace time, it is necessary to carry the following calculation. Confirm the lamp used time in the [LAMP settings] z
    (
    Æpage 43).
    For PT-CW330U / PT-CX300U
Lamp use time=[Lamp used time (Normal)] + [Lamp used time (Eco)] × 3 ÷ 4
    For PT-CW240U
Lamp use time=[Lamp used time (Normal)] + [Lamp used time (Eco)] × 3.5 ÷ 5
The usage period of 3 000 hours / 3 500 hours is a rough estimate and is not guaranteed.
