First, try out the following procedures (P195–205).

Are you using a MultiMediaCard? This unit does not support MultiMediaCards.> When you set the picture quality to [ ], [ ] or [ ], we recommend using a 
high-speed card with “10MB/s” or greater displayed on the package.
Depending on the type of the card, recording may stop in the middle.
Is the [CONVERSION]  (P138) set to [  ] or [  ]?
Set the AF area to the distinctive colour of the subject if there is a part that is different from the

It is possible that the subject may be warped slightly, or the borders get coloured, depending on 
the zoom magnification, due to the characteristics of the lens. Also, the peripherals of the 
image might look warped because the perspective is enhanced when the wide angle is used. 
This is not a malfunction.
The LCD monitor turns off and the power lamp lights when [AUTO LCD OFF]  (P35) is selected 
for the [ECONOMY] mode.
