Advanced (Playback) - 112 - [MUSIC] Following music can be selected to play during slide show playback. [NATURAL], [SLOW], [SWING], [URBAN], [OFF] • [ ] ([AUTO]) can be used only if [CATEGORY] is selected. It will be played back with [EFFECT] and [MUSIC] set for each category automatically. •Preview screen is displayed when [PREVIEW] is touched. Touch [CANCEL] to cancel the preview. •[MUSIC] with the same name will be set for the selected [EFFECT]. Select [MUSIC] after selecting [EFFECT]. [SET] [DURATION] or [REPEAT] etc. can be set. • [DURATION] can be set only when [EFFECT] is set to [OFF].•[AUDIO] will be displayed only when the [MUSIC] is set to [OFF]. Audio will be played along with the still picture with audio by setting the [AUDIO] to [ON]. Note •It is not possible to add new music effects. ∫Changing the slide show settings You can change the settings for [EFFECT] and [MUSIC]. during the slide show playback on the slide show set screen. [EFFECT] This allows you to select the screen effect when switching from one picture to the next. [NATURAL], [SLOW], [SWING], [URBAN], [OFF] • When [URBAN] has been selected, the picture may appear in black and white as a screen effect. Advanced (Playback) - 114 - [PLAYBACK] mode: ¸ Displaying Pictures by Recording Date ([CALENDAR]) You can display pictures by recording date. Note • The recording date of the picture selected in the playback screen becomes the date selected when the calendar screen is first displayed. •If there are multiple pictures with the same recording date, the first picture recorded on that day is displayed. •You can display the calendar between January 2000 and December 2099.•If the date is not set in the camera, the recording date is set as the 1st January, 2009.•If you take pictures after setting the travel destination in [WORLD TIME], the pictures are displayed by the dates at the travel destination in calendar playback. Slide the [REC]/[PLAYBACK] selector switch to [(], and then press [MODE]. Touch [CALENDAR]. •You can also turn the zoom lever for several times toward [L] (W) to switch to calendar screen. Touch the date to play back. A: Previous month B: Next month • If there were no pictures recorded during a month, the month is not displayed. Touch the picture to select. - 115 - Advanced (Playback) [PLAYBACK] mode: ¸ Playing Back Pictures on the Dual Display ([DUAL PLAY]) You can display two recorded pictures on the screen to compare them. Slide the [REC]/[PLAYBACK] selector switch to [(], and then press [MODE]. Touch [DUAL PLAY]. •You cannot select [DUAL PLAY] if there are no recorded pictures or only 1 recorded picture. Touch a picture to select from above or below. •A picture can be selected also by pressing 3/4/2/1.•Pictures cannot be scrolled by dragging.•You cannot display the same picture on the dual display at the same time. Note •[PLAYBACK] mode menu (P130) and [SETUP] menu cannot be used.•When [ROTATE DISP.] is set to [ON], pictures which were recorded with the camera held vertically will be displayed vertically. 1The previous picture is displayed. 2The next picture is displayed. 3It will return to [PLAYBACK] mode selection screen. Advanced (Playback) - 116 - [PLAYBACK] mode: ¸ Selecting Pictures and Playing them Back ([CATEGORY PLAY]/[FAVORITE PLAY]) This mode allows you to search images by scene mode or other categories (such as [PORTRAIT], [SCENERY] or [NIGHT SCENERY]) and sort the pictures into each of the categories. You can then play back the pictures in each category. Slide the [REC]/[PLAYBACK] selector switch to [(], and then press [MODE]. Touch [CATEGORY PLAY]. Touch the category to playback. •A category can be played back only if it contains a picture. •It may take time to search the picture files if there are a lot on the card or the built-in memory. •If you touch [CANCEL] during searching, it will stop halfway. •Pictures are sorted into the categories shown below. ¢Playback by selecting and touching the picture of the person you desire to playback.Face Recognition may not be possible or may not recognise faces correctly even for registered faces, depending on the facial expression and environment. Advanced (Playback) - 118 - [PLAYBACK] mode: ¸ Organizing pictures ([EASY ORG.]) Favourite setting of the picture, editing and deleting can be done easily by using the touch panel. Slide the [REC]/[PLAYBACK] selector switch to [(], and then press [MODE]. Touch [EASY ORG.]. ∫[EASY ORG.] Screen Note • With [TEXT STAMP], [RESIZE], [TRIMMING] or [LEVELING] a new edited picture is created. A new picture cannot be created if there is no free space on the built-in memory or the card so we recommend checking that there is free space and then editing the picture. •[PLAYBACK] mode menu (P130) and [SETUP] menu cannot be used.AThe previous picture is displayed. - 119 - Advanced (Playback) You can do the following if a mark has been added to pictures and they have been set as favourites. • Play back only the pictures set as favourites. ([FAVORITE PLAY])•Play back the pictures set as favourites only as a slide show.•Delete all the pictures not set as favourites. ([ALL DELETE EXCEPTÜ]) Touch [EXIT]. ∫Cancelling all the [FAVORITE] settings1Touch [CANCEL] in step 2.2Touch [YES]. Note • You can set up to 999 pictures as favourites.•When printing pictures at a photo printing store, [ALL DELETE EXCEPTÜ] (P49) is useful so only the pictures you want to be printed remain on the card. •You may not be able to set pictures taken with other equipment as favourites.•You can perform, check and cancel the settings of images as favourites using the “PHOTOfunSTUDIO” bundled software on the CD-ROM (supplied). Advanced (Playback) - 120 - We recommend resizing to [ ] if you want to attach a picture to an e-mail or use it on a website. (Pictures set to the minimum number of pixels for [ASPECT RATIO] cannot be further reduced in size.) Note • The picture quality of the resized picture will deteriorate.•It may not be possible to resize pictures recorded with other equipment.•Motion pictures, pictures with audio, and pictures stamped with [TEXT STAMP] cannot be resized. [EDIT] [RESIZE] Reducing the picture size (number of pixels) To u c h [ ] . Touch [RESIZE]. Touch the picture size. •Only the sizes to which the pictures can be resized is displayed. Touch the image from the thumbnail at the bottom of the screen, and touch the main image . •Repeat the step to set more than 2 images.•Up to 50 pictures can be selected at once.•Selection will be cancelled by touching the same picture again. •Selection of all pictures will be cancelled by touching [CANCEL].
