Chapter 5 Operation of Function — About VueMagic 112 - ENGLISH About VueMagic (The wireless module (Model No.: ET-WML100) of the optional accessories is required.) By using still image transfer application software “VueMagic”, you can transfer images to the projector when iPad/ iPhone/iPod touch or Android terminals are connected to this projector through the wireless LAN. Connecting with the VueMagic compatible device 1) Press the button to select [NETWORK]. f Switch to the NETWORK input and the NETWORK input idle screen is displayed. f Check the login password (a four-digit number that is automatically generated), SSID and the IP address (wireless LAN) which are displayed on the NETWORK input idle screen. f You can also press the button on the control panel to select [NETWORK] in the input guide. 2) Choose the SSID of this projector on the wireless LAN setting screen of \ the connected device, and then connect the wireless. 3) Start the VueMagic mobile presenter application of the correspondent VueMagic devices. 4) Choose the projector name of this projector in the projector list. f The connection confirmation screen is displayed. 5) Choose the display position. f The password entry screen is displayed. 6) Enter the login password and click [OK]. f The connected device screen is projected on the screen. Note f When connecting to the iOS device or Android device, you must install the dedicated application “VueMagic” to the device. For detailed information, refer to the following web site. The projector has a network function, and the following operations are a\ vailable from the computer by using the web control. f Setting and adjustment of the projector f Display of the projector status f Transmission settings of E-mail messages The projector supports “Crestron Connected TM”, and the following application software of Crestron Electronics, Inc. can be used. f RoomView Express f Fusion RV f RoomView Server Edition Note f If you use the E-mail function, you need to communicate with the E-mail server. First, please make sure that you can use the E-mail. f "Crestron Connected™" is a system developed by Crestron Electronics, Inc. which collectively manage and control multiple system devices connected via the network, from a computer. This projector supports "Crestron Connected™". f For details of "Crestron Connected™", please refer to the website of Crestron Electronics, Inc.. Accessing from the web browser 1) Start up the web browser on the computer. 2) Enter the IP address set on the projector into the URL entry field of the web browser. 3) Enter the user name and the password. f The factory default setting of the user name is user1 (user rights)/admin1 (administrator rights) and the password is panasonic (lower case). 4) Click [OK]. f The [Projector status] page is displayed.
Chapter 5 Operation of Function — Web control function 114 - ENGLISH Note f If you use a web browser to control the projector, set [WEB CONTROL] to [ON] in [NETWORK CONTROL] ( x page 103). f Do not perform setting or control simultaneously by starting up multiple\ web browsers. Do not set or control the projector from multiple computers. f Change the password first. ( x page 125) f Access will be locked for few minutes when an incorrect password is entered three times consecutively . f Some items on the projector setting page use the Javascript function of the web browser . The projector may not be able to be controlled properly if it is set with a browser that does not have this function en\ abled. f If the screen for the web control is not displayed, consult your network\ administrator. f While updating the screen for the web control, the screen may become whi\ te for a moment, but it is not a malfunction. f About computer screen illustrations The subsequent web control screens show examples for PT -FZ570. Screen content may differ from that for the projector model you are using. In addition, the screen size and the display may be differ from this manual depending on the OS, WEB browser or the type of computer you are using. Available functions per account With the administrator rights, all functions can be used. With the user \ rights, available functions are restricted. [FAILED]: Indicates that there is a problem. [WARNING]: Indicates that there is a warning. r [FAILED] items displayed when a problem occurs Item Description [FAN] Trouble has occurred in the fan or its drive circuit. Consult your dealer\ . [FAN(R_B)] Trouble has occurred in the R/B panel cooling fan. [FAN(G)] Trouble has occurred in the G panel cooling fan. [FAN(PBS)] Trouble has occurred in the PBS cooling fan. [FAN(LAMP)] Trouble has occurred in the lamp cooling fan. [FAN(REAR)] Trouble has occurred in the rear fan. [FAN(POWER)] Trouble has occurred in the power cooling fan. [FAN(EXHAUST)] Trouble has occurred in the exhaust fan. [INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE] The air intake temperature is too high. The projector may be used in an operating environment where the temperature is high, such as near a heating applia\ nce. [EXHAUST AIR TEMPERATURE] The exhaust air temperature is high. The air exhaust port may be blocked. [LAMP REMAIN TIME] The lamp runtime has exceeded the prescribed cumulative time, and it is now time to replace the lamp. [LAMP STATUS] The lamp has failed to light. Wait a short while for the lamp to cool off, and then turn on the power. [APERTURE (CONTRAST-SHUTTER)] Trouble has occurred in the contrast shutter circuitry. Consult your dealer. [Access error log] page Click [Status] → [Access error log]. The error log on the web server is displayed such as access to the pages that do not exist or access with unauthorized user names or passwords. [Mail error log] page Click [Status] → [Mail error log]. Display E-mail error information if failed to send periodic E-mails. Note f [Access error log] and [Mail error log] display the recent few hundred accesses/requests. All information may not be displayed when many accesses/requests are made at a time. f When information in [Access error log] and [Mail error log] exceeds a certain amount, older information is erased. f Check [Access error log] and [Mail error log] periodically. [Basic control] page Click [Projector control] → [Basic control].

Enter the host name if it is required when using a DHCP server etc. 2 [DHCP ON], [DHCP OFF ]Enables the DHCP client function, set to [DHCP ON]. 3 [IP ADDRESS] Enters the IP address when not using a DHCP server. 4 [SUBNET MASK] Enters the subnet mask when not using a DHCP server. 5 [DEFAULT GATEWAY] Enters the default gateway address when not using a DHCP server. 6 [DNS1] Enters the DNS1 server address. Permissible characters for the entry of DNS1 server address. (preferred): Numbers (0 - 9), period (.) (Example: 192.168.0.253) 7 [DNS2] Enters the DNS2 server address. Permissible characters for the entry of DNS2 server address. (alternate): Numbers (0 - 9), period (.) (Example: 192.168.0.254) 8 [Back], [Next] Click the [Back] button to return to the original screen. The current settings are displayed by pressing the [Next] button. Click the [Submit] button to update the settings. Note f When you use the “Forward” and “Back” functions of your browser, a warning message “Page has Expired” may appear. In that case, click [Network config] again since the following operation will not be guaranteed. f Changing LAN settings while connected to the LAN may cause the connection to cut out. Chapter 5 Operation of Function — Web control function 120 - ENGLISH 1 [WIRELESS LAN] Selects [Enable] when you want to enable the wireless LAN function. 2 [SSID] Sets the SSID for use. 3 [CHANNEL] Selects the channel for use. 4 [ENCRYPTION] Selects [WPA2-PSK(AES)] when performing encrypted communications. 5 [KEY] Sets the key to be used when performing encrypted communications. 8 to 15 alphanumerics can be input. 6 [Back], [Change] Click the [Back] button to return to the original screen. The setting change screen is displayed by pressing the [Change] button. Click the [Submit] button to update the settings. Note f Changing LAN settings while connected to the LAN may cause the connection to cut out. f The setting values of the [Network config] page will return to the factory default when the [INITIALIZE] of the [NETWORK] menu is executed ( x page 104) . f The [ENCRYPTION] is set to [DISABLE] in the factory default setting. If you want to communicate with wireless LAN, it is recommended that the [ENCRYPTION] is set to [WPA2-PSK (AES)] for security.
