Using the Directory 32 You can store up to 50 names and phone numbers in the directory. All directory items are sorted by the first word in alphabetical order. Using the directory, you can make a call by selecting a name on the handset display. Storing Names and Numbers in the Directory Make sure the handset is in the standby mode initially. (CLEAR) (REDIAL/PAUSE) , , BACK , FWD/EDIT (FUNCTION/EXIT/CH) The dialing buttons can be used to enter letters and symbols.

The letters are printed on the dialing buttons. Pressing each button selects a character as shown below. If you make a mistake while entering a name Use BACKÜor FWD/EDITáto move the cursor to the incorrect character, press (CLEAR)to delete and enter the correct character. 40 Voice Mail Service Voice mail service is an electronic on-line answering system offered by your telephone company. After subscribing, the voice mail system can answer calls automatically when your line is busy or if calls are not answered. Callers can leave messages by following the pre-recorded instructions. When voice mail messages are recorded, “Voicemail” and “” will be displayed and the VOICE MAIL indicator on the base unit will flash. To use this feature, you must first store your access number. Storing a Voice Mail Access Number Make sure the handset is in the standby mode initially. 1 Press (FUNCTION/EXIT/CH). 2 Press Öor Ñrepeatedly until the arrow points to “Program”, and press FWD/EDIT á (Yeskey). 3 Press Öor Ñrepeatedly until the arrow points to “Save mailbox#”, and press FWD/EDITá(Yeskey). 4 Enter your access number, up to 32 digits. •You may enter pauses*. •If you enter a wrong number, press (CLEAR). Digits are erased from the right. To erase all digits, press and hold (CLEAR). 5 Press Ö(Nextkey). •If you want to edit the entered number, press Ñ(Editkey) and return to step 4. 6 Press FWD/EDITá(Savekey). •A beep sounds. •To return to the standby mode, press (FUNCTION/EXIT/CH).
