For best performance
Base unit location/avoiding noise
The base unit and other compatible 
Panasonic units use radio waves to 
communicate with each other.
For maximum distance and noise-free 
operation, we recommend the following:
LPlacing the product away from electrical 
appliances.
L Placing the base unit in a HIGH and 
CENTRAL location with no obstructions 
such as walls.

Setting up the base unit
Connecting the AC adaptor and 
telephone line cord
Connect the telephone line cord until it 
clicks into the base unit (A) and telephone 
line jack ( B). Connect the AC adaptor cord 
by pressing the plug firmly ( C).
L Use only the included Panasonic AC 
adaptor PQLV203. Note:
L
The AC adaptor must remain connected 
at all times. (It is normal for the adaptor 
to feel warm during use.)

Setting up the handset
Battery installation/replacement
Insert the battery plug into the connector 
as shown in the picture. Then close the 
handset cover.
LIf battery replacement is necessary, 
press the notch of the handset cover and 
slide it off. Remove the old battery and 
replace it with a new one.
Important:
L Use only the rechargeable Panasonic 
battery noted on page 3.
Attention:
A nickel cadmium battery that is recyclable...

Recharging the battery
Recharge the battery when:
–“RECHARGE ” is displayed, “ ” is 
displayed, or
– the handset beeps intermittently while it  is in use.

shortened over time depending on 
usage conditions and surrounding
