22 RQT8979 Connections The front speakers come with separate mid/high-range (HF) and low-range (LF) terminals. • Bi-wiring prevents high frequency and low frequency signals from interfering with each other. 26 RQT8979 Auto speaker setup using the setup microphone • Using the supplied setup microphone, you can measure such items as distance from the seating area and polarity and make adjustment for connected speakers. • For ELS Surround playback, perform the auto speaker setup and light up the “AUTO SPEAKER SETUP” indicator. • The unit considers seven speakers and one subwoofer are connected to the unit (keeps factory settings) unless you perform these steps.
