    Listening in 5.1 channel sound (AVCHD) [HC-X900M]
    You still can listen to the 5.1 channel sound recorded from the internal microphones when this 
    unit is connected to the 5.1 channel compatible AV amplifier or TV using the HDMI mini cable.
    Please read the AV amplifier and TV operating instructions for how to connect this unit to the 
    AV amplifier and TV.
    ≥If you connect this unit to a Panasonic AV amplifier that are compatible with VIERA Link, 
    linked operations (VIERA Link) become possible. ( l112)
    ≥ Audio recorded when [MIC SETUP] is set to [STEREO MIC] or recorded from an external 
    microphone is in stereo (2 ch).
    Connecting with the AV multi cable
    AV multi connector output setting can be changed.

    ≥If you are not using VIERA Link, set to [OFF].
    2Connect this unit to a Panasonic TV compatible with VIERA Link 
    with a HDMI mini cable.

    ≥ It is recommended to connect this unit to an HDMI terminal other than the HDMI1 if there 
    are 2 or more HDMI input terminals on the TV.
    ≥ VIERA Link must be activated on the connected TV. (Read the operating instructions of the 
    TV for how to set etc.)
    ≥ Always use a genuine Panasonic HDMI mini  cable (RP-CDHM15, RP-CDHM30: optional).

    Playback using VIERA Link™
    What is the VIERA Link (HDAVI Control™)?
    ≥ VIERA Link™ is a new name for EZ Sync™.
    ≥ This function allows you to use your remote control for the Panasonic TV for easy 
    operations when this unit has been connected to a VIERA Link compatible device using 
    a HDMI mini cable (optional) for automatic linked operations. (Not all operations are 
    possible.)
    ≥ VIERA Link is a unique Panasonic function built on a HDMI control function using the 
    standard HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) specification. Linked operations 
    with HDMI CEC compatible devices made by other companies are not guaranteed.
    When using devices made by other companies that are compatible with VIERA Link, 
    refer to the operating instructions for the respective devices.
    ≥ This unit is compatible with VIERA Link Ver.5. VIERA Link Ver.5 is the newest 
    Panasonic version and is also compatible with existing Panasonic VIERA Link devices.

    3Operate with the remote control for the TV.
    1) Press the button up, down, left or right to select a scene or still picture to be played back, and then press the button in the center to set it.
    2) Activate the operation icons that are displayed on TV screen with the remote control for  the TV.

    ≥ The following operations are available by pressing the color buttons on the remote control.
    jGreen: Switching the number of scenes/still pictures in thumbnail display
    (9 thumbnails  > 20 thumbnails  > 9 thumbnails...)
    Zoom in on still picture
    j Yellow: Deleting scenes/still pictures
    j Red: Zoom out from still picture/Adjusting 3D effect of the 3D image
    j Blue: Converting 2D (3D) images as 3D (2D)
    ∫ Other linked operations
    Turning the unit off:
    If you use the remote control for the TV to turn off the power, this unit also turns off.
    Automatic input switching:
    If you connect with a HDMI mini cable and then turn on this unit, the input channel on the TV 
    automatically switches to this unit’s screen. If the TV’s power is in standby status, it will turn 
    on automatically (if [Set] has been selected for the TV’s [Power on link] setting).
    ≥Depending on the HDMI terminal on the TV , the input channel may not switch 
    automatically. In this case, use the remote control for the TV to switch the input channel.
    ≥ If you are unsure whether or not the TV and AV amplifier you are using are compatible with 
    VIERA Link, read the operating instructions for the devices.
    ≥ Available linked operations between this unit an d a Panasonic TV is different depending on 
    the types of Panasonic TVs even if they are compatible with VIERA Link. Refer to the 
    operating instructions of the TV for the operations that support on the TV.
    ≥ Operation is not possible with a cable that is not based on the HDMI standard.

    The scenes or still pictures recorded in 3D can be played back as 3D image on the LCD 
    monitor of this unit, or by connecting this unit to the 3D compatible TV.
    It is also possible to convert the scenes and still pictures recorded in 2D to 3D and play back.
    Viewing with 3D compatible TV
    Connect the unit to a 3D compatible television using an HDMI mini cable (optional) and play 
    back scenes or still pictures recorded in 3D to enjoy lifelike and powerful 3D full high-
    definition images.
    ≥3D full high-definition image can be enjoyed  by playing back the image recorded in AVCHD 
    3D on a 3D compatible TV that is compatible with the frame sequential format.
    ≥ The picture quality of side-by-side format 3D  image is different from the 3D full high-
    definition images.
    ¬ Change the mode to   and touch the play mode select icon. Then, set to 
    [ALL AVCHD], [AVCHD 3D], [SbS 3D] or  . ( l39)

    3(When playing back scenes or still pictures on the 3D compatible television

    Select the menu.
    ≥This can be set by attaching the 3D Conversion Lens (optional) to this unit during the 
    Recording Mode.
    ≥ When the used TV is not compatible with the frame sequential format, it will not be picture 
    quality of 3D full high-definition image even if it is set to [HDMI].

    Connect this unit to the 3D compatible television using an HDMI mini

    Connect this unit to the 3D compatible television using an HDMI mini 
    cable (optional) or an AV multi cable (supplied). ( l108)
    ≥When connecting with an AV multi cable, set [AV MULTI] ( l111) to [COMPONENT] and 
    set [COMPONENT OUT] ( l111) to [1080i] and connect the component terminal plug to 
    the component terminal on the TV.
    6Touch the scenes or still pictures recorded in 3D to be played back.
    ≥ The recording screen for 3D Recording Mode can be displayed in 3D on a 
    3D-compatible TV when the 3D Conversion Lens (optional) is attached to this unit.
    ≥ If your television does not switch to a 3D image, make the necessary settings on the TV.

    ≥It will be played back in 2D  display for following cases:
    j Connect the AV multi cable to the video terminal of the TV
    j When [COMPONENT OUT] is set to [480i] and the AV multi cable is connected to the 
    component terminal of the TV
    ≥ When you play back scenes successively, a black screen  will appear for a few seconds 
    between scenes recorded in 3D and scenes recorded in 2D.
    ≥ When you select a 3D image thumbnail, it may take a few seconds for playback to start. 
    After playback, the thumbnail display may take a few seconds to reappear.
    ≥ If you set [2D/3D DISPLAY] to [3D] with the unit connected to a television that does not 
    support 3D, the image will be played back in 2 screens.
    ≥ Depending on the 3D-compatible television  used, switching to 3D mode may be slow and 
    you may not be able to watch the first scene. In this case, use the pause button.
    ≥ When viewing 3D image, your eyes may become tired if you are too close to the television 
    screen. Use the supplied remote control to operate from a distance.

    Adjusting 3D effect of the 3D image
    It is possible to adjust the disparity of the scenes and still pictures playing back in 3D for 
    better view.
    1 Play back scenes or still pictures recorded in 3D.
    2Touch .
    ≥ Playback disparity adjustment bar is displayed while 
    displaying in 3D.
    3 Touch  /  to adjust setting.≥Playback disparity adjustment bar will disappear after approx. 
    5 seconds without any touch operation.
    ≥The setting is canceled in following cases:
    jIf you stop playback
    j If you turn the unit off
    j If you change the mode
    Connect the unit to a 3D compatible television using a HDMI mini cable (optional) and play 
    back scenes or still pictures recorded in 3D to enjoy lifelike and powerful 3D full high-
    definition images.

    ≥The recording screen for 3D Recording Mode can be displayed in 3D on a 
    3D-compatible TV when the 3D Conversion Lens (optional) is attached to this unit.
    ≥ You cannot play back 3D image on the LCD monitor of the unit. When you play back 
    scenes recorded in 3D on the LCD monitor, they will be played back in 2D.
    ≥ It will be played back in 2D  display for following cases:
    j Connect the AV multi cable to the video terminal of the TV
    j When [COMPONENT OUT] is set to [480i] and the AV multi cable is connected to the 
    component terminal of the TV
    ≥ When you play back scenes successively, a black screen  will appear for a few seconds 
    between scenes recorded in 3D and scenes recorded in 2D.
    ≥ When you select a 3D thumbnail, it may take a few seconds for playback to start. After 
    playback, the thumbnail display may take a few seconds to reappear.
    ≥ It will play back in 2 screens when connected to the TV not compatible with 3D using an AV 
    multi cable (supplied).

    Converting and playing back 2D images as 3D
    You can connect this unit to 3D compatible TV, convert the scenes and still pictures recorded 
    in 2D (conventional image) to 3D and play back.
    ¬Change the mode to   and touch the play mode select icon. Then, select

    Setting with the Touch Menu

    ≥ This is not displayed when playing back the iFrame scenes 
    or scenes saved in MP4.
    2 Play back the scene or the still picture by touching 
    it.
    ≥Setting for the [3D PLAYBACK] is not possible when [CONV. 2D TO 3D] is set to [ON].
    ≥ [CONV. 2D TO 3D] setting takes priority regardless of the [3D PLAYBACK] setting.
    ≥ Highlight Playback cannot be converted to 3D image.
    ≥ Scenes or still pictures converted to 3D images cannot be saved as 3D images.
