    The “Image App” is an application provided by Panasonic.

    To use the Wi-Fi function, connect this unit to a wireless access point or smartphone via Wi-Fi.
    ≥Depending on the Wi-Fi connection method, available Wi-Fi functions differ.
    ≥ If you select [History], you can set up a Wi-Fi connection that uses the connection settings of a 
    previously used Wi-Fi function. ( l171)

    Setting Up a Wi-Fi Connection
    ≥When this unit is turned on, the Wi-Fi setting confirmation screen may be displayed. Touch 
    [YES], and set up Wi-Fi setting.
    ≥ To set up the Wi-Fi setting of this unit using the smartphone application “Image App”, touch 
    [YES] again. (Refer to “Using the [Wi-Fi Easy Setup] to set up a connection” on page  164.)
    ≥ To set up Wi-Fi using this unit, touch [NO]. (Refer to “Connecting to a wireless access point” 
    on page 165 .)

    Using the [Wi-Fi Easy Setup] to set up a connection
    With the smartphone application “Image App”, you can transfer the following information between 
    the smartphone and this unit by using the NFC or QR code function.
    * Acquire a Login ID and Password for the “LUMIX CLUB” on this unit in advance.
    ≥Install the smartphone application “Image App” on your smartphone. ( l162)
    ∫ If the device is Android (NFC-compatible)
    ≥Set the NFC function of the smartphone to ON.
    1Press Wi-Fi button and touch [Wi-Fi Setup]. 
    2Touch [Wi-Fi Easy Setup].≥Touch [YES].
    3Start up the smartphone application “Image App”.
    4Touch the smartphone on   of this unit.≥The setup screen is displayed on the smartphone.
    5Follow the on-screen instructions of the smartphone to set up a connection.≥When the settings is complete, the smartphone and this unit are connected directly, allowing you 
    to use remote operations. ( l136 )
    ∫Connecting with Android (non-NFC-compatible) or iOS device
    1Press Wi-Fi button and touch [Wi-Fi Setup]. 
    2Touch [Wi-Fi Easy Setup].≥Touch [YES].
    3Touch [QR code] or [Wi-Fi].
    When [QR code] is selected
    1 Start up the smartphone application “Image App”.
    2 On the smartphone, select [QR code] to scan the QR code displayed on the 
    screen of this unit.
    ≥The setup screen is displayed on the smartphone.
    ≥ When using an iOS device, perform the following operations:
    1 Select the option that allows you to install the app on the profile screen of the “Image App”, and 
    follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
    2 Press the home button to close the displayed screen.
    3 Touch [NEXT] on the screen of this unit to display its SSID.
    4 After selecting the network name (SSID) of this unit from the Wi-Fi setup of the smartphone, 
    start up “Image App”.
    3Follow the on-screen instructions of the smartphone to set up a connection.≥When the settings is complete, the smartphone and this unit are connected directly, allowing you

    setup menu.

    After entering the Password displayed on this unit, start up the “Image App”.
    3 Follow the on-screen instructions of the smartphone to set up a connection.

    Connecting to a wireless access point
    Check if the wireless access point you are using is compatible with WPSjIf the wireless access point is compatible with WPS:
    Proceed to the following [WPS Connection]
    j If the wireless access point is not compatible with WPS:

    1Press Wi-Fi button. ≥When the Wi-Fi button is pressed for the first time, a message is displayed. Touch [YES], and 
    proceed to step 5.
    2Touch [Wi-Fi Setup].
    3Touch [Wireless Settings].
    4Touch a Blank row.≥For information on how to delete wireless access points or 
    change the search order of wireless access points, please 
    refer to [Wireless Settings] on page 174 .
    5Touch [WPS Connection].
    6Set the wireless access point to waiting for WPS.≥For further details, please read the operating instructions for the 
    wireless access point. (When using a tethering connection, please 
    read the operating instructions for the smartphone.)
    ≥ A message is displayed when the connection is complete.
    ≥ A message is displayed when the connection attempt fails. Touch 
    [EXIT], and set the connection again.

    Enter a PIN code to set the Wi-Fi connection

    4 Enter the PIN code displayed on this unit screen into the wireless access 
    point.
    ≥For further details, please read the operating instructions for the wireless access point. (When 
    using a tethering connection, please read the operating instructions for the smartphone.)
    5 Touch [NEXT].≥A message is displayed when the connection is complete.
    ≥ A message is displayed when the connection attempt fails. Touch [EXIT], and set the connection 
    again.
    ≥ Confirm Encryption key (Password) of the se lected wireless access point if the network 
    authentication is encrypted.
    1Press Wi-Fi button. ≥ When the Wi-Fi button is pressed for the first time, a message is displayed. Touch [YES], and 
    proceed to step 5.
    2Touch [Wi-Fi Setup].
    3Touch [Wireless Settings].
    4Touch a Blank row.≥For information on how to delete wireless access points or 
    change the search order of wireless access points, please 
    refer to [Wireless Settings] on page 174 .
    5Touch [Search for wireless network].
    6Touch the wireless access point to connect.≥Touch [ENTER].
    ≥ If you touch [Refresh], you can search for wireless access 
    points again.
    ≥ When no wireless access points are displayed, refer to “Setting up a connection manually”.

    method, Encryption type, and Encryption key (Password) of the wireless access point you are 
    using.
    1Press Wi-Fi button. ≥When the Wi-Fi button is pressed for the first time, a message is displayed. Touch [YES], and 
    proceed to step 5.
    2Touch [Wi-Fi Setup].
    3Touch [Wireless Settings].
    4Touch a Blank row.≥For information on how to delete wireless access points or 
    change the search order of wireless access points, please 
    refer to [Wireless Settings] on page 174 .
    5Touch [Manual Setting].
    6Touch [INPUT], then enter the SSID of the 
    wireless access point to connect.
    ≥For details on how to enter characters, refer to page  95.
    ≥ When the entry is complete, touch [Enter].
    7Touch the desired Network Authentication method.
    ≥When [WEP] is selected, proceed according to step 9.

    ≥Check the wireless access points instruction manual and settings when a saving wireless access 
    point.
    ≥ The Encryption methods are [AES], [TKIP] and [WEP] in descending order of strength. We 
    recommend you connect with the strongest possible Encryption method.
    ≥ When the signal of the wireless access point is weak, a connection may not be established. Refer 
    to “Messages” ( l196) and “Troubleshooting” ( l198) for details.
    ≥ Transmission speed may decrease, or may not be usable depending on the environment it is

    Setting up a direct connection to a smartphone
    Check if the smartphone you are using is compatible with WPS≥For US customers enter SSID and Password or scan QR code to connect.
    jIf the smartphone is compatible with WPS:
    Proceed to the following [WPS Connection]
    j If the smartphone is not compatible with WPS:
    Proceed to the following “Connecting with QR code”
    1Press Wi-Fi button and touch [Wi-Fi Setup]. 
    2Touch [Direct Connection].
    3Touch [Change connection type].

    5Set the smartphone to WPS Mode.
    1Press Wi-Fi button and touch [Wi-Fi Setup].

    4Touch [QR code].≥QR code is displayed on the screen of this unit.
    5Start up the smartphone application “Image App”.
    6On the smartphone, select [QR code] to scan the QR code displayed on the
