21 RQTV0141 To turn the TV on/off, change the TV input mode, select the TV channel and change the TV volume by means of this remote control, set the remote control as follows. This unit uses variable bit rate (VBR) recording which varies the amount of data recorded to suit the images, so actual recording times and remaining recording times shown by the unit will be different. (The difference will be especially noticeable with DVD- R DL and +R DL.) Use a disc with plenty of remaining time to be sure. ° 1It is not possible to record or play continuously from one side of a double sided disc to the other. ° 2When “Recording Time in EP Mode” has been set to “EP (6H)” in the Setup menu. When the unit is turned off, the sound and the video cannot be outputted to the TV. ∫Scheduled recording for TV programs cannot be executed on both DVD and VHS at the same time. Make sure the scheduled recording start times do not overlap on both DVD and VHS Scheduled Recording List screens. When the scheduled recording settings overlap: ≥When the start time of both scheduled recordings is the same, the programme that you register later has priority. ≥If there is a VHS scheduled recording that overlaps a DVD scheduled recording that is currently being recorded, it may not be possible to operate the VHS during the overlap.
