The operation guide appears on the bottom right of the LCD monitor.

 • If you do not perform any operation for approx. 2 seconds, the operation guide is 
turned off.  To display the guide again, press the [DISP.] button.
 • When you end the Slide Show, a confirmation screen is displayed. Select [Y

return to the 1-picture screen (full-screen).
 ●Even when the Slide Show ends, the filtered state you set in step  is maintained. 
To remove the setting, press  to select [Filtering Off] when the 1-picture screen is 
displayed, or select [All] in the [Playback Mode] menu.
 ●When [URBAN] has been selected, the picture may appear in black and white as a 
screen effect.
 ●When panorama pictures or motion pictures are played back, the [Duration] setting is 
disabled.
 ●Part of [Effect] cannot be used when displaying pictures on television using an HDMI 
mini cable (optional) or when displaying pictures recorded in portrait position.
 ●Screen effects do not operate during a [3D Play] slide show. ●Music effects cannot be added.

[Filtering Play]

ou can refine the selection of pictures to be viewed by narrowing them down to pictures 
in selected categories or to favorite pictures, and then view those pictures.
Select the filtering method using cursor button, and press 
[MENU/SET]
[Picture Only] Play back still pictures
[Video Only] Play back motion pictures
[3D Play] Plays back only 3D still pictures that were recorded in the [3D Photo Mode] 
Scene Mode.
[Travel] Play back pictures with [Travel Date] that have been set at the time of their 
recording.
  Select whether to play back the pictures by date or by travel location 
using cursor button, and press [MENU/SET]
 • When [All] is selected, the pictures recorded with [Travel Date] are 
played back.
  Select the date or travel location using cursor button, and press 
[MENU/SET]
[Category 
Selection] Play back pictures that have been narrowed down by category, such as 
Scene Mode.

ou can search for pictures by the date they were recorded.
Use cursor button to select date to playback
 • Only months when pictures were taken are shown on the  calendar screen.
Press [MENU/SET] to display a list of pictures from the 
selected date
Use cursor button to select picture and press [MENU/SET]
 • To perform another search, move the zoom lever to the W side to return to the previous screen.  (→38)
 ●If there is more than one picture recorded on the same date, the first picture taken on 
that date will be selected.
 ●You can display the calendar between January 2000 to December 2099. ●Pictures taken without clock settings are displayed with the date January 1st, 2013. ●Pictures taken with destination settings made in [World Time] are displayed in the 
calendar screen using the appropriate date for the destination’s time zone.

Retouching pictures

[Auto Retouch]
You can adjust the color and brightness of a still picture to bring them into balance.
 • New pictures are created after editing pictures with [Auto Retouch]. Before starting  to edit, make sure that there is enough free space in the built-in memory or on the 
memory card.

Select a still picture to retouch during playback and press  
 • When pictures are narrowed down in [Slide Show] or [Filtering Play], select [Retouch] from the selection screen.
Use cursor button to select [Auto Retouch] and press  
[MENU/SET]

 • A confirmation screen is displayed. If you select [Yes], the new retouched still picture is saved.
 • When [OFF] is selected, you can restore a picture to its original condition (before retouching).

 ●The retouch effect may be less apparent in some still pictures. ●Some still pictures may have higher noise levels after retouching. ●It may not be possible to use [Auto Retouch] with still pictures that have already been 
retouched.
 ●It may not be possible to retouch still pictures recorded with other cameras. ●[Auto Retouch] is unable to perform in the following cases: • Motion pictures • Panorama pictures • 3D still pictures
[Creative Retouch]
You can retouch recorded still pictures by selecting the effect that you want to apply.
 • New pictures are created after editing pictures with [Creative Retouch]. Before starting  to edit, make sure that there is enough free space in the built-in memory or memory 
card.

Setting Effect
[Expressive] This effect emphasizes the color to make a pop art picture.
[Retro] This effect gives a faded image.
[High Key] This effect adds a bright, airy and soft feel to the overall image.
[Low Key] This effect adds a dark and relaxing feel to the overall image and 
enhances bright parts.
[Sepia] This effect creates a sepia image.
[Dynamic Monochrome] This effect gives a higher contrast to create an impressive black and 
white picture.
[Impressive Art] This effect gives your photo a dramatic contrast look.
[High Dynamic] This effect produces the optimum brightness for both dark and bright 
parts.
[Cross Process] This effect gives your photo a dramatic color look.
 • Use cursor button to adjust coloring, then press [MENU/SET].
[Toy Ef

fect] This effect reduces peripheral brightness to give the impression of a 
toy camera.
 • Use cursor button to adjust coloring, then press [MENU/SET].
[Miniature Effect] This ef

fect blurs peripheral areas to give the impression of a diorama.
[Soft Focus] This effect blurs the overall image to produce a soft feel.
[Star Filter] This effect transforms pin-points of light into a star effect.
[One Point Color] This effect leaves one selected color to emphasize impressiveness.
 • Use cursor button to move the frame in the center of the screen, 
select the color to retain, and then press [MENU/SET].

fect is displayed.

You can edit the picture (for example, trimming), and set a protection setting in the 
picture.

memory card.

You can give titles, etc. to your favorite still pictures.
