    ∫Viewing pictures stored in the memory1Press  2/1  to display the picture with the zoom mark [ ].

    Clipboard Playback menu
    When [MENU/SET] is pressed durin g clipboard playback, the menu 
    screen appears. (The steps taken are the same as for the “Clipboard 
    recording menu”  (P109).)

    [CANCEL  MARK] Used to release the zoom position.

    •Following functions are fixed.
    •In the Clipboard Mode, the following functions cannot be used.–[AUTO BRACKET]/White balance fine adjustment/[INTELLIGENT ISO]/[PRE AF]/
    [I.EXPOSURE]/[MIN. SHTR SPEED]/[BURST]/[DIGITAL ZOOM]/[COLOR MODE]/
    [HISTOGRAM]/[SLIDE SHOW]/[CATEGORY PLAY]/[TRAVEL PLAY]/[FAVORITE PLAY]
    •The [STABILIZER] (P105) setting in [REC] Mode is also reflected in Clipboard Mode.•Other items in the [SETUP] menu and the items on the [TRAVEL MODE] menu can be set in 
    the Normal Picture Mode, etc. Setting will be reflected to the Clipboard Mode.
    Note
    •Please bear copyrights and other such matters in mind.•The [PLAYBACK] Mode menu  (P122) function cannot be used.•You cannot print while using Clipboard Mode. (Clipboard images copied to card can be 
    printed.)

    [PLAYBACK] Mode: ¸
    Advanced (Playback)Playing Back Pictures in Sequence (Slide Show)
    You can set the pictures you have taken to music, playing them back in sequence with a 
    fixed interval between. You can also put together slide shows composed of only still 
    pictures, only motion pictures, only pictures of a particular category, only pictures taken in 
    travel mode, or only favorites. The slide show is a recommended way of viewing your 
    pictures when you connect your camera to a TV.
    Slide the [REC]/[PLAYBACK] selector switch to 
    [( ], and then press [MENU/SET].
    •Set the mode dial to anything except  [ ¨].
    Press  1.
    Press  3/4 to select [SLIDE SHOW], and then press [MENU/SET].
    Press  3/4 to select the item and then press 
    [MENU/SET].
    •[FAVORITE] can be selected only when [FAVORITE] on the 
    [PLAYBACK] menu  (P131) is at [ON] and there are pictures 
    already set as favorites.
    •When [TRAVEL] is selected, the selection screen will appear 
    again. Select [ALL] or [TRAVEL DATE], and then press [MENU/
    SET].
    •For selections other than [CATEGORY SELECTION] and 
    [TRAVEL DATE] of [TRAVEL], proceed to Step 6.

    ∫Operations performed during slide show
    The cursor displayed during playback is the same as  3/4 /2/ 1.
    •
    The menu screen is restored when [ ‚] is pressed.
    ∫ Changing the slide show settings
    You can change the settings for sl ide show playback by selecting 
    [EFFECT] or [SETUP] on the slide show menu screen.
    [EFFECT]
    This allows you to select the screen effects or music effects when 
    switching from one picture to the next.
    [NATURAL], [SLOW], [SWING], [URBAN], [OFF], [AUTO]
    •
    When [URBAN] has been selected, the picture may appear in black and white as a screen 
    effect.
    •[AUTO] can be used only when [CATEGORY SELECTION] has been selected. The pictures 
    are played back with the recommended effects in each category.
    •[EFFECT] is set to [OFF] when playing a slide show with motion pictures only.
    [SETUP]
    [DURATION] or [REPEAT] can be set.
    •
    [DURATION] can be set only when [OFF] has been selected as the [EFFECT] setting.•[AUDIO] can be set only when [OFF] has been selected as the [MUSIC] setting. Audio will be 
    played along with the still picture with audio by setting the [AUDIO] to [ON].
    Note
    •Music effects cannot be played back simultaneously with motion pictures or still pictures with 
    audio.
    •It is not possible to add new music effects.

    [PLAYBACK] Mode: ¸
    Selecting Pictures and Playing them Back 
    ([CATEGORY PLAY]/[TRAVEL PLAY]/[FAVORITE PLAY])
    This mode allows you to search images by Scene Mode or other categories (such as 
    [PORTRAIT], [SCENERY] or [NIGHT SCENERY]) and sort the pictures into each of the 
    categories. You can then play back the pictures in each category.
    Perform steps 1 and 2 on page  11 3.
    Press  3/4 to select [CATEGORY PLAY], and then press [MENU/SET].

    Press  3/4/2/ 1 to select the category and then 
    press [MENU/SET] to set.
    •If a picture is found in a category, the category icon turns blue.•It may take time to search the picture files if there are a lot on the 
    card or the built-in memory.
    •If you press [ ‚] while searching, the searching will stop halfway.•Pictures are sorted into the categories shown below.

    Face Recognition may not be possible or may not recognize faces correctly even for 
    registered faces, depending on the facial expression and environment.

    You can play back the pictures taken in the Travel Mode. The pictures can be displayed 
    according to the dates on which they were taken.
    Note
    •
    Pictures taken in the Travel Mode and stored in the dedicated clipboard folder are not 
    displayed.
    •If there are multiple pictures with the same recording date, the first picture recorded on that day 
    is displayed.
    •From the travel date selection screen, you can display pictures with dates from January 2000 to 
    December 2099.
    •If you take pictures after setting the travel destination in [WORLD TIME], the pictures are 
    displayed by the dates at the travel destination in calendar playback.
    •You can use only [ROTATE DISP.], [PRINT SET], [PROTECT] or [AUDIO DUB.] in the 
    [PLAYBACK] menu.
    [TRAVEL PLAY]
    Perform steps 1 and 2 on page  11 3.
    Press  3/4 to select [TRAVEL PLAY], and then press [MENU/SET].
    Press  4 to select [TRAVEL DATE], and then press 
    [MENU/SET].
    •If [ALL] is selected, all pictures taken in Travel Mode are played 
    back in the normal way.
    •Pictures without travel dates are not displayed.
    Press  3/4/2/ 1 to select the date to be played 
    back.
    3 /4 : Select the month
    2 /1 : Select the date
    •
    If there were no pictures recorded during a month, that month is 
    not displayed.
    Press [MENU/SET] to display the pictures that were 
    recorded on the selected date.
    • Press [‚] to return to the travel date selection screen.
    Press  3/4/2/ 1 to select a picture and then press [MENU/SET].
    •The picture that was selected will appear.

    You can play back the pictures you have set as [FAVORITE] (P131) (Only when 
    [FAVORITE] is set to [ON] and there are pictures which have been set to [FAVORITE]).
    Perform steps 1 and 2 on page  11 3.
    Press  3/4 to select [FAVORITE PLAY], and then press [MENU/SET].

    Playing Back Motion Pictures/Pictures with Audio
    Press 2/1 to select a picture with a motion picture 
    icon (such as [ ]), and then press  3 to play back.

    •After playback starts, the elapsed playback time is displayed on the 
    upper right of the screen.
    For example, 8 minutes and 30 seconds is displayed as [8m30s].
