Playing Back and Editing Images Using the [Playback] Menu With this menu, you can use various playback functions such as cropping and other editing of recorded images, protect settings, etc. • With [RAW Processing], [Clear Retouch], [Text Stamp], [Time Lap se Video], [Stop Motion Video], [Resize] or [Cropping], a new edited picture is created . A new picture cannot be created if there is no free space on th e card so we recommend checking that there is free space before editing the picture. •The camera may not play back images recorded on other devices c orrectly, and the functions of the camera may not be available for the images. ∫ How to select an image(s) after selecting [Single] or [Multi] Some menu items allow you to specify how to select an image(s). Follow the steps below to select an image(s). [Single] setting 1Press 2/1 to select the picture.2Press [MENU/SET]. •If [Set/Cancel] is displayed at the right bottom of the screen, the setting is canceled when [MENU/SET] is pressed again. [Multi] settingWhen a screen similar to the one on the right is displayed: 1Press 3/4/ 2/1 to select the picture and then press [MENU/SET] (repeat). • The setting is canceled wh en [MENU/SET] is pressed again. 2Press 2 to select [OK], and then press [MENU/SET] to execute. 10. Playing Back and Editing Images 262 Playback methods for the 3D pictures can be switched. •This is a menu that is only displayed when 3D playback is possible. Refer to P351 for details. You can play back the pictures you have taken in synchronization with music, and you can do this in sequence while leaving a fixed interval between each of the pictures. You can also put together a slide show composed of only still p ictures, only motion pictures, only 4K Photo, only 3D pictures etc. We recommend this feature when you view your pictures by connecting the camera to a TV. 1Select the menu. (P63) 2Select the group to play back by pressing 3/4, and then press [MENU/SET]. • If you select [Video Only], 4K burst files recorded with the 4K Photo function will also be played back. •Refer to P351 for the method to play back [3D] pictures in 3D. •When [Category Selection] is selected, press 3/4/2/1 to select a category and then press [MENU/SET]. 263 10. Playing Back and Editing Images ∫Changing the slide show settings You can change the settings for slide show playback by selectin g [Effect] or [Setup] on the slide show menu screen. [Effect] This allows you to select the screen effects when switching fro m one picture to the next. [AUTO]/[NATURAL]/[SLOW]/[SWING]/[URBAN]/[OFF] • When [URBAN] has been selected, the picture may appear in black and white as a screen effect. •[AUTO] can be used only when [Category Selection] has been sele cted. The pictures are played back with the recommended effects in each category. •[Effect] is fixed to [OFF] when in [Video Only] or during the s lide show for [ ], [ ], [ ] in [Category Selection]. •Even if [Effect] is set, it does not work during a slide show of Group Pictures.•When pictures are displayed on a TV connected via an HDMI micro cable or when vertically-displayed pictures are played back, some of the [Eff ect] settings will not work. [Setup] [Duration] or [Repeat] can be set. • [Duration] can be set only when [OFF] has been selected as the [Effect] setting.•When playing back the following pictures, the [Duration] setting is disabled.–Motion pictures –4K burst files–Panorama pictures–Group Pictures [Duration] [5SEC]/[3SEC]/[2SEC]/[1SEC] [Repeat] [ON]/[OFF] [Sound][AUTO]: Music is played when the still pictures are played back, and audio is played when the motion pictures are played back. [Music]: Music is played back. [Audio]: Audio (only for motion pictures) is played back. [OFF]: There will be no sound.

(P63) 2Select the group to play back by pressing 3/4, and then press [MENU/SET]. •If you select [Video Only], 4K burst files recorded with the 4K Photo function will also be played back. •Refer to P351 for the method to play back [3D Play] pictures in 3D. When [Category Play] is selected in above step 2 3Press 3/4 /2 /1 to select the category and then press [MENU/SET] to set. •Pictures are sorted into the categories shown below. ¢ Press 3/4 /2/ 1 to select the person to play back and then press [MENU/SET]. As for group pictures, the entire group is treated as a single picture with Face Recognition information. Playing Back and Editing Images You can write location information sent from a smartphone (latitude and longitude) on images. • You can send location information and write it on images using a smartphone. (P301) • You need to install “ Panasonic Image App ” on your smartphone. (P289) •Read the [Help] in the “ Image App ” menu for further details on how to operate. Preparation: Sending location information to the camera from the smartphone. 1Select the menu. (P63) 2Press 3/4 to select the period you intend to record location information on images, then press [MENU/SET]. • Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.•Images with location information are indicated with [ ]. ∫To pause the recording of location information Press [MENU/SET] while recording of the location information on to images is taking place. • During a suspended period, [ ±] is displayed. Select the period with [ ±] to restart the recording process from the picture you left of f. ∫To delete the received location information 1Select the menu. 10. Playing Back and Editing Images 266 You can process the pictures taken in RAW format. The processed pictures will be saved in JPEG format. You can check how effects are applied to each p icture while processing it. 1Select the menu. (P63) 2Select RAW images with 2/1 , and then press [MENU/ SET] . 3Press 3/4 to select an item. •You can set the following items. The settings you used for the recording are selected when you start setting these items. [RAW Processing] > [Playback] > [RAW Processing] [White Balance] Allows you to select a White Balance preset and adjust it. If y ou select an item with [ ], you can process the image with the sett ing at the time of recording. [Exposure Comp.] Allows you to correct the exposure within the range between j1EV and i1EV. [Photo Style] Allows you to select a photostyle effect ([Standard]/[Vivid]/[N atural]/ [Monochrome]/[Scenery]/[Portrait]). [i.Dynamic] Allows you to select an [i.Dynamic] setting ([HIGH]/[STANDARD]/ [LOW]/[OFF]). [Contrast] Allows you to adjust the contrast. [Highlight] Allows you to adjust the brightness of bright portions. [Shadow]Allows you to adjust the brightness of dark portions. [Saturation]/[Color Tone] Allows you to adjust the saturation. (When [Monochrome] is sele cted in [Photo Style], you can adjust the color tone.) [Filter Effect] Allows you to select a filter effect. (Only when [Monochrome] i n [Photo Style] is selected) [Noise Reduction] Allows you to adjust the noise reduction setting. [i.Resolution]Allows you to select an [i.Resolution] setting ([HIGH]/[ STANDAR D]/ [LOW]/[EXTENDED]/[OFF]). [Sharpness] Allows you to adjust the resolution effect. [Setup]You can set the following items: [Reinstate Adjustments]: Returns the settings to the ones you used during the recording. [Color Space]: Allows you to select a [Color Space] setting from [sRGB] or [Ad obe RGB]. [Picture Size]: Allows you to select the size in which the image will be saved in JPEG format ([L]/[M]/[S]). If you touch [ ], the picture will be reduced to the original size. [Setup] setting When you select an item, the screen that asks you to select [Re instate Adjustments], [Color Space], or [Picture Size] will be displayed. 1 Press 3/4 to select an item, and press [MENU/SET]. • If you select [Reinstate Adjustments], a confirmation screen wi ll be displayed. Selecting [Yes] will execute the operation and return you to the item sel ection screen. 2Press 3/4 to select a setting, and press [MENU/SET]. •The effects applied through the RAW processing on the camera and those applied through the RAW processing on the DVD software (supplied) “SILKYPIX Developer Studio” are not completely identical. •RAW images are always recorded in the [4:3] (5184 k3888) aspect ratio regardless of the aspect ratio at the time of recording, but when you perform [RA W Processing] in the [Playback] menu, they are processed in the aspect ratio at the time of recording. •The range within which you can correct the exposure differs fro m the one you can correct during recording. •The [White Balance] setting of pictures taken with multiple exp osures is fixed to the setting at the time of recording. •If you perform [RAW Processing] in the [Playback] menu on a pic ture taken with [Red-Eye Removal], the effect will be applied to the processed picture i n JPEG format. •You can process only one RAW image at a time. Not available in these cases: •When an AV cable (optional) or an HDMI micro cable is connected , [RAW Processing] is not available. •You can process only the RAW images you recorded with the camer a. [RAW Processing] is not available for images recorded with other models and images that are not stored in RAW format. [Clear Retouch] automatically enables the touch operation. 1Select the menu. (P63) 2Press 2/1 to select a picture, and then press [MENU/SET]. 3Drag your finger over the part you want to delete. •The parts to be erased are colored. •Touching [Undo] will return the colored part back to its previous state. 4Touch [Set]. •Preview screen is displayed. 5Touch [Save] or press [MENU/SET]. •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected. Exit the menu after it is executed. [Clear Retouch] > [Playback] > [Clear Retouch] Erasing details (enlarging the display) 1 Touch [SCALING]. • Pinching out/pinching in (P59) the screen allows you to enlarge/reduce it. •Enlarge/reduce can also be performed by rotating the rear dial. •Dragging the screen allows you to move the enlarged part. 2 Touch [REMOVE]. •This will bring you back to the operation of dragging your finger over the part you want to delete. 10. Playing Back and Editing Images 270 •Pictures may appear unnatural because the background of deleted parts is artificially created. •For group pictures, perform [Clear Retouch] on each picture. (They cannot be edited at once.) •When [Clear Retouch] is performed on group pictures, they are s aved as new pictures separate from the original ones. Not available in these cases: •Not available when the viewfinder is in use.•This function is not available in the following cases: –Pictures taken in Panorama Shot Mode–Motion pictures –4K burst files –Pictures taken with [ ]
