Select [Clock Set] in the [Setup] menu. (P63)
•The clock can be reset as shown in steps 5 and 6 on  P40 .•The clock setting is maintained for 3 months using the built-in  clock battery even 
without the battery.
(Leave the charged battery in the unit for 24 hours to charge t he built-in battery.)

Basic Operations
Hold the camera gently with both hands, keep your arms still at your side 
and stand with your feet slightly apart.
•Do not cover the AF assist lamp A, microphone  B or the speaker  C with your fingers or 
other objects.
•Be careful not to move the camera when you press the shutter bu tton.

You can record images from a variety of angles by adjusting the angle of the viewfinder.
•
Be careful not to catch your finger, etc. in the viewfinder.
•When adjusting the angle of the viewfinder, be careful not to a pply too much force, as 
this may cause malfunction.
•Return the viewfinder to its original position completely when  the camera is not in use.

Automatic viewfinder/monitor switching enables the eye sensor t o switch the display to the 
viewfinder automatically when y ou bring your eye or an object near it.
•
Eye sensor might not work properly depending on the shape of yo ur eyeglasses, the way you 
hold the camera, or bright light shining around the eyepiece. I n that case, press [LVF] to switch 
the display.
