Changing the handset name E ach handset can be given a customized name (“Bob”, “Kitchen”, etc.). This is useful when you make intercom calls between handsets. You can also select whether or not the handset name is displayed in standby mode. The default setting is “No ”. Using Caller ID service I mportant: R This unit is Caller ID compatible. To use Caller ID features, you must subscribe to a Caller ID service. Answering system T he answering system can answer and record calls for you when you are unavailable to answer the phone. You can also set the unit to play a greeting message but not to record caller messages by selecting “ Greeting only ” as the recording time setting (page 43).
