Be sure to use the correct rating of the power plug and main circuit for the model installed. • The caution items stated here must be followed because these important contents are related to safety. The meaning of each indication used is as below. Incorrect installation or servicing due to ignoring of the instruction will cause harm or damage, and the seriousness is classified by the following indications. • The items to be followed are classified by the symbols: • Carry out test running to confirm that no abnormality occurs after the servicing. Then, explain to user the operation, care and maintenance as stated in instructions. Please remind the customer to keep the operating instructions for future reference. This indication shows the possibility of causing death or serious injury. This indication shows the possibility of causing injury or damage to properties. This symbol denotes item that is PROHIBITED from doing. 1. Engage dealer or specialist for installation and servicing. If installation or servicing done by the user is defective, it will cause water leakage, electrical shock or fire. 2. Install according to this installation instruction strictly. If installation is defective, it will cause water leakage, electrical shock or fire. 3. Use the attached accessories parts and specified parts for installation and servicing. Otherwise, it will cause the set to fall, water leakage, fire or electrical shock. 4. Install at a strong and firm location which is able to withstand the set’s weight. If the strength is not enough or installation is not properly done, the set will drop and cause injury. 5. For electrical work, follow the local national wiring standard, regulation and the installation instruction. An independent circuit and single outlet must be used. If electrical circuit capacity is not enough or defect found in electrical work, it will cause electrical shock or fire. 6. Use the specified cable and connect tightly for indoor/outdoor connection. Connect tightly and clamp the cable so that no external force will be acted on the terminal. If connection or fixing is not perfect, it will cause heat-up or fire at the connection. 7. Wire routing must be properly arranged so that control board cover is fixed properly. If control board cover is not fixed perfectly, it will cause heat-up or fire at the connection point of terminal, fire or electrical shock.
3 8.When conne cting the piping, do n ot allow air or any s ubstances ot her than the specified refrigerant to enter the refrigeration cyc le. Ot he rwise, this may lower t he cap acity, cause abnorma lly high pr essure in the refriger ation cycle, and p ossibly result in explosion and inju ry. 9 . It is desir able that the amount of resid ual oil is less than 40 mg/10m. 10.Do not modify the length of the power supply cord or use of the exte nsion cor d, and do n ot share the single outlet with other electr ical ap pliances. Ot herwise, it will cause fire or electrical shock. 11 .After comple tion of the installation serv icing confirm there is no leak age of refr igerant gas. It may generate toxic gas when the refriger a nt contacts with fire. 12 .V entilate if there is r efrigerant gas leakage during operation. It may cause toxic gas when the refr igerant contacts with fir e. 1.T he equipment must be earthed. It may cause el ectrical shock if grounding is n ot perfect. 2.Do not install the unit at place where leakage of flammable gas may occur. In case gas leaks and accum ulates at surround ing of theunit, it may cause f ire. 3.Carry out drainage piping as me ntioned in installa tion instructions. If dr ainage is not perfect, water may enter the room and damage the furniture. 4. Pb free solder has a higher melting point than standard solder; typically the melting po int is 50 - 70°F (30 - 40° C) higher. P lease usea high te mperature solder ir on. In case of the soldering iron with temper ature cont rol, plea se set it to 700 ± 20°F (370 ± 10°C). Pb fr ee solder will tend to splash when he ated too high (a bout 1100°F / 600°C). 5.Tig hten the flare nut with torque wr ench accor ding to specif ied metho d. If t he flare nut is over-tightene d, after a long period, the flare may br eak and ca use refrigera nt gas leakage. 6.Do not t ouch outd oor unit air inlet and aluminium f in. It may cause injury. ATTENTION 1. Selection of the installation location. Select an installa tion location which is rigid and strong enough to support or hold t he unit, and select a location for easy maintenan ce. 2. Power supply connection to the conditioner. Conn ect the power s upply cord of the air c onditioner to the m ains using one of the following methods .P ower sup ply point s hall be t he place where there is ease for e ase for access for the power disconnection in case of emerg ency. In s ome c ountries, permanent c onnect ion of t his room air con ditioner to the power supply is pr ohibite d. 1. Power supply connection to the receptac le using a p ower plug. Use an approved power plug with earth pin for the connection to the sock et. 2. Power supply connection to a circ uit bre aker for the permanent con nection. Use an a pproved circ uit breaker for the perman ent connect ion. It must be a double pole s witch with a minimum 3.5 mm contact gap. 3. Do not release refrigerant du ring piping work for installation, serv icing, reinstallation and dur ing rep airing a refrig eration parts. Take care of the liq uid refrigera nt, it may cause frostbite. 4.Installat ion work . It may need t wo people to carry out t he installat ion work. 5. Do not install th is appliance in a laundry r oom or oth er location w here water may drip fr om t he ceiling, etc.
