    							Direct mounting
If the camera is directly mounted on a
wall/ceiling, align the camera mounting posi-
tion with the position of the hole through
which the cables run and make the hole.
If no hole is made through a wall/ceiling and
open wiring along a wall/ceiling is used,
process the cover so that the cables can be
run through the side of the cover.

    Installations and Connections
The following installation should be made by qualified service personnel or system installers.
    Preparations
    Important:
    • Procure 4 mounting screws according to the material of the installation area. In this case,
wood screws and nails should not be used.
Recommended tightening torque is as follows.
    M4: 1.6 N·m {16 kgf·cm}
    • Required pull-out capacity of a single screw/bolt is 196 N {20 kgf} or more.
    • If a ceiling board such as plaster board is too weak to support the total weight, the area
    shall be sufficiently reinforced.
    • The protection sheet attached to the dome cover shall be peeled off after installation.

    Using a two-gang junction box
    When using a two-gang junction box (4 x
4), procure one locally that meets the
    dimensions in the figure.
And then, locally procure four camera-
mounting screws suitable for the installation
surface and structure of the wall/ceiling or
    two-gang junction box.

    surface of the cover
    Caution:
ONLY CONNECT THIS TO 24 V AC OR 12 V DC CLASS 2 POWER SUPPLY.

    							Disassembling the Camera
    1. Remove the top cover.
    • Adjust the marker of this unit to INSERT
of the DOME COVER label on the top
cover and turn the top cover counter-
    clockwise to remove it.
    • The clear dome cover and the inner
dome cover are joined into a single unit.
Therefore, never try to remove them.
To mount the camera directly on
    the wall/ceiling
    1. Prepare the mounting space.
    2. Place the camera on the wall/ceiling and

    Important:
The recommended length of the cable is 100
    m {328 ft} or less. Connect a passive receiv-
er to the receiving device such as a monitor.
If the effect of noise is high and the cable
    length is 100 m {328 ft} or longer, connect
    an active receiver.
The UTP type cable (Unshielded Twisted
Pair Wires) is more subject to noise than the
BNC cable because the cable is not shield-
ed. If high resolution or noise prevention is
    required, purchase WV-CF284 or WV-
    CF294.

    Image Adjustment
    1. Connect an adjusting monitor to the
    monitor output jack.
    2. Pan, tilt and azimuth adjustment
    Important:
    • Do not touch the iris motor. Failure to
    observe this may cause trouble.
    • Do not hold the camera by the lens unit
    when adjusting panning, tilting, or
    azimuth.
At the same time for the pan and tilt adjust-
ments, make zoom and focus adjustments of
    Step 3.
qRotate the panning table to adjust the
panning position of the camera. (Range:
    320 °)
    • The adjusting range is from +180 °
    (clockwise) to –140 ° (counterclockwise).
    • Tighten the panning table lock screw
    after adjusting.

    							3. Zoom and focus adjustment
At the same time for the pan and tilt adjust-
ments (Step 2), make zoom and focus adjust-
    ments.

qLoosen the zoom lock lever and move
the lever between TELE and WIDE to
obtain the appropriate angle of view.
    Tighten the zoom lock lever.
wLoosen the focus lock lever and move
the lever between FAR and NEAR to
obtain the optimum focus. Tighten the
    focus lock lever.
Note:To change the angle of view by
moving the zoom lock lever, also
move the focus lock lever to adjust
    the focus.
    15
wRotate the tilting table to adjust the tilting
position of the camera. (Range: ±75 °)
    • Since using a variable focal lens, it is
possible to change the angular field of
    view.
This lens can also be rotated in the
reverse direction, but the image azimuth
is reversed. In such a case, turn the pan-
ning table to the 180 ° side. Then, the
    image azimuth is corrected.
    • When used at an angle that is close to
horizontal, it must be noted that the
shadow of the dome cover may be pro-
    jected.
eRotate the azimuth adjuster to adjust the
azimuth angle of the image. (Range:
    ±100 °)

    							• Subjects with laterally parallel lines
    (e.g. shutters)
    • Foggy or dirty dome cover
rFocus adjustment is available by press-
ing the AF switch with a pointed item
such as a ballpoint pen even after
mounting the dome cover. In such a
case, the direction of the camera and the
presence of the object should be
    checked beforehand because visual
check is not available on the monitor.
    Notes:
    • Before mounting the top cover, make
sure that the subject is present.
    • Before pressing the AF switch, make
sure that the marker is adjusted to the
    LOCK position.
    • Be aware that zoom adjustment and
coarse focus adjustment shall be per-
    formed beforehand to obtain precise
    focus.
    • Auto focus adjustment is available only
when the AF switch is pressed regarding
    WV-CF294 and WV-CF294T.
Press the AF switch with a pointed item such as
    a ballpoint pen.

NEAR to make coarse adjustment of the
    focus.
Note:To change the angle of view by
moving the zoom lock lever, also
move the focus lever to adjust the
    focus.
ePress the AF switch on the side of the
    camera.
The LED for AF lights up for approx. 10
sec. and the focus is automatically
    adjusted.
    Notes:
    • The ABF function does not cover the full
focus range. Be sure to perform coarse
adjustments for the angle of view and
focus manually, and then press the AF
switch to activate the ABF function.
    • Do not touch the lens while the LED for
AF stays lighted. Failure to observe this
    may cause trouble.
    • The AF switch may not adjust the focus
initially. In such a case, widen the aper-
ture by pointing the camera at a dark
    subject.
    • The AF switch may not adjust the focus
resulting in LED for AF blinking. For the
following subjects, select ELC with the
light control mode selector and adjust
    the focus manually.

    Assembling the Camera
    1. Mount the top cover.
qAdjust the marker of this unit to INSERT
of the DOME COVER label on the top
cover to install the top cover.
    wAdjust the inner dome.
Rotate the top cover clockwise to adjust
    the marker to ADJUST.
Turn the dome cover block to the right
and left, watching at the monitor. Make
adjustments so that no eclipse may be
    caused.
    Important:For inner dome adjustments,
adjust the marker to the position of
ADJUST. If the dome cover block is
moved with unreasonable force, this may
    be a cause of destruction.
