  Insert the battery as illustrated with the B mark toward the battery lock knob.
Damage to the battery exterior (scratches, etc.) may 
produce heat or an explosion.
  Insert the battery while sliding the battery lock knob in the direction of the arrow.
  Insert the card straight until it clicks into place.  Turn off the camera before opening the battery/card cover....

Language, date, time and time zone

messages displayed in the monitor. The date and time

Shooting with the optimum aperture value and shutter speed ( P mode)
In this mode, automatic shooting settings are activated 
while also allowing changes to a wide range of 
other shooting menu functions, such as exposure 
compensation, white balance, etc. as needed.
  The default settings of the function are highlighted in .
