Check printer settings. 3Connect the camera to the printer using the supplied USB cable. 4The camera is automatically turned on. Do not attempt to insert connectors at an angle, and do not use force when connecting or disconnecting the USB cable. •Open and close the slide cover to turn off the camera before disconnecting the USB cable. BIf the PictBridge Startup Screen is not Displayed Turn the camera off and disconnect the USB cable. 141 Connecting to a Printer Connecting to Televisions, Computers and Printers Printing Pictures One at a Time After properly connecting the camera to the printer (A139), follow the procedures described below to print a picture. 1Tap C or D to choose the desired picture, and tap I. Previous or subsequent picture can also be viewed by tapping the scroll bar. Tap o to display 12 thumbnails, and n to switch back to full-frame playback. 2Tap Copies. 3Tap the desired number of copies (up to nine). 4Tap Paper size. 5Tap the desired paper size. Tap A or B to display additional options. To specify paper size using settings on the printer, tap Default in the paper size option. 4Tap Print selection, Print all images or DPOF printing. Print selection Choose pictures (up to 99) and the number of copies (up to nine) of each. •Tap the desired pictures and tap A or B at the upper left in the monitor to specify the number of copies to be printed. •Pictures selected for printing can be recognized by the check mark (w) and the numeral indicating the number of copies to be printed. Revert the number of copies to [0] to cancel the selection of the picture. •Tap n to switch back to full-frame playback, and o to display 9 thumbnails. •Tap n to remove print marking from all pictures. •Tap I when setting is complete. •When the screen shown at right is displayed, tap Start print to print. •To return to the print menu, tap Cancel. CPaper Size The camera supports the following paper sizes: Default (the default paper size for the printer connected to the camera), 3.5 × 5 in., 5 × 7 in., 100 × 150 mm, 4 × 6 in., 8 × 10 in., Letter, A3, and A4. Only sizes supported by the printer will be displayed. To specify paper size using printer settings, choose Default in the Paper size option. Print all images One copy each of all pictures stored in the internal memory, or on the memory card, is printed. •When the screen shown at right is displayed, tap Start print to print. •To return to the print menu, tap Cancel. Tap the bottom tab (A146) M z (Setup menu) M c Welcome screen None (default setting) The camera enters shooting or playback mode without displaying the welcome screen. COOLPIX The camera displays a welcome screen and enters shooting or playback mode. Select an image Displays a picture selected for the welcome screen. When the Select image screen is displayed, select a picture and tap I. •In the Select image screen, tap n to switch to full-frame playback and tap o to switch back to 9-thumbnail display. •As the selected picture is stored in the camera, it will be displayed when the camera is turned on even if the original picture is deleted. •Copies created at a size of 320 × 240 or smaller using the crop (A123) or small picture (A122) function cannot be selected. The date and time displayed in the monitor changes according to the region currently selected. Tap the bottom tab (A146) M z (Setup menu) M d Date Date Set camera clock to current date and time. Tap the items on the displayed screen to select the display order of the day, month and year, and set the date and time. •To select the item: tap the desired item. •To edit the highlighted item: tap A or B. •To apply the setting: tap I (A21). Time zone Home time zone (w) can be specified and daylight saving time is enabled or disabled from Time zone options. When Travel Destination (x) is selected, local time (A150) is automatically calculated and shooting date and time in the selected region are recorded with pictures. Useful when travelling.
