30 Basic Photography and Playback : Auto Mode Using the Flash The flash has a range of about 0.6 to 5.5 m (2 to 18 ft.) when the camera is zoomed out all the way. With maximum optical zoom applied, the range is about 0.6 to 3.5 m (2 to 11 ft.) (when ISO sensitivity is set to Auto). The flash can reach up to distances of about 0.6 to 11 m (2 to 36 ft.) for wide, and about 0.6 to 7.5 m (2 to 24 ft.) for tele during high sensitivity shooting mode ( A50).
