79 More on Playback Viewing Pictures by Date (List by Date) In “C list by date mode”, pictures taken on the same date can be played back. In full-frame playback mode, just as with normal playback mode, picture display can be enlarged, pictures can be edited, and movies can be played back. When the d button is pressed, the list by date menu (A81) is displayed and all pictures taken on a specified date can be selected for deletion, viewing in a slide show, or applying print order or protection settings. Selecting a Date in List by Date Mode 1Press the c button in playback mode to display the playback- mode selection menu, use the rotary multi selector to select C, and press the k button. Dates for which pictures exist are listed. 2Use the rotary multi selector to select the desired date. The camera lists up to 29 dates. If pictures exist for more than 29 dates, all pictures recorded earlier than most recent 29 dates will be combined under Others. When the k button is pressed, the first picture taken on the selected date will be displayed full frame. Rotate the zoom control to f (h) in full-frame playback mode to return to the list by date screen. BNotes on List by Date Mode •Up to 9,000 of the most recently recorded pictures can be displayed in list by date mode. •Pictures taken when the camera’s date is not set are treated as pictures taken on January 1, 2010. •Histogram and shooting information cannot be displayed in list by date mode. 83 Playback Options: Playback Menu More on Playback a Print Set (Creating a DPOF Print Order) When printing pictures stored on the memory card using any of the following methods, the Print set option in the playback menu is used to create digital “print orders” for printing on DPOF-compatible devices. •Inserting the memory card into a DPOF-compatible (A160) printer’s card slot •Taking the memory card to a digital photo lab •Connecting the camera to a PictBridge-compatible (A160) printer (A114). A print order can also be created for pictures stored in the internal memory if the memory card is removed from the camera. 1Press the d button in playback mode. The playback menu is displayed. 2Use the rotary multi selector to choose Print set and press the k button. Proceed to step 4 when playing back in auto sort mode or list by date mode. 3Choose Select images and press the k button. 4Choose pictures (up to 99) and the number of copies (up to nine) of each. Rotate the rotary multi selector, or press J or K to select pictures, and press H or I to specify the number of copies to be printed. Picture selected for printing can be recognized by the check mark (y) and the numeral indicating the number of copies to be printed. If no copies have been specified for pictures, the selection is canceled. Rotate the zoom control to g (i) to switch to full-frame playback. Rotate the zoom control to f (h) to switch back to 12-thumbnail display. Choose Date and press the k button to print the shooting date on all pictures in the print order. Choose Info and press the k button to print photo information (shutter speed and aperture) on all pictures in the print order. Choose Done and press the k button to complete the print order. Pictures selected for printing are recognized by the w icon displayed with playback. BNotes on Print SetWhen a print order is created in auto sort mode or list by date mode, the screen shown below is displayed if pictures other than those in selected category or taken on the selected shooting date, have been marked for printing. •Select Yes to add pictures in the selected category or taken on the selected shooting date, to the existing print order. •Select No to remove print marking from previously marked pictures and restrict the print order to pictures in the selected category or taken on the selected shooting date. If the total number of the pictures in a print order exceeds 99, the screen shown below will be displayed. •Select Yes to remove pictures previously added from the print order and restrict the print order to pictures just marked. •Select Cancel to remove the pictures just added from the print order and restrict the print order to pictures previously marked. 85 Playback Options: Playback Menu More on Playback BNotes on Printing Shooting Date and Photo Information When the Date and Info settings are enabled in the print set option, shooting date and photo information are printed on pictures when a DPOF-compatible (A160) printer that supports printing of shooting date and photo information is used. •Photo information cannot be printed when the camera is connected directly to a printer, via the supplied USB cable, for DPOF printing (A119). •Note that Date and Info settings are reset when the print set option is displayed. •The date printed is that recorded when the picture was taken. Changing the camera’s date using the Date option in the setup menu after a picture has been taken has no affect on the date printed on the picture. CCanceling Existing Print Order Select Delete print set in step 3 of “Print Set (Creating a DPOF Print Order)” (A83) and press the k button to remove print marking from all pictures and cancel the print order. DDate Imprint When date and time of recording are imprinted on pictures using the Date imprint option (A128) in setup menu, pictures are recorded with shooting date and time imprinted on the picture when they are taken. Pictures with the date imprinted on them can be printed from printers that do not support printing of the date on pictures. 86 Playback Options: Playback Menu More on Playback b Slide Show Play back pictures, stored in the internal memory or on a memory card, one by one in an automated “slide show.” 1Use the rotary multi selector to choose Start and press the k button. To change the interval between pictures, choose Frame intvl, select the desired interval time, and press the k button before choosing Start. To repeat the slide show automatically, choose Loop and press the k button before choosing Start. The check mark (w) will be added to the loop option when enabled. 2The slide show begins. While the slide show is in progress, the following operations are available: Press the rotary multi selector K to display the subsequent picture or J to display the previous picture. Hold down either button to fast forward or rewind. Press the k button to pause the slide show. 3End the slide show or restart it. When the slide show ends or is paused, choose End and press the k button to return to the playback menu, or choose Restart to play the slide show again. 88 Playback Options: Playback Menu More on Playback Selecting Pictures The picture selection screen like that shown at right is displayed with the following menu selections: •Playback menu:Print set>Select images (A83), Delete>Erase selected images (A87), Protect (A89), Rotate image (A89), and Copy>Selected images (A92) •Setup menu: Welcome screen>Select an image (A123) Follow the procedures described below to choose the pictures. 1Rotate the rotary multi selector, or press J or K to choose the desired picture. Only one picture can be selected for Rotate image and Welcome screen. Proceed to step 3. Rotate the zoom control to g (i) to switch to full-frame playback or f (h) to switch back to 12-thumbnail display. 2Press H or I to select or deselect (or to specify the number of copies). When a picture is selected, a check mark (y) is displayed with the picture. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to select additional pictures. 3Press the k button to apply picture selection. When Erase selected images is selected, a confirmation dialog is displayed. Follow the instructions displayed in the monitor.
