Using the P Button

Image Area
Regardless of the option selected for Image area in the shooting menu ( 063), all 
movies and photographs recorded in movie live view ( 0161) have an aspect ratio of 
16 : 9.
 Selecting  1.3× (18×12) , however, reduces the angle of view and increases the 
apparent focal length of the lens.
 A  c  icon is displayed when  1.3× (18×12) is 
selected.

If the camera is connected to an HDMI device ( 0215), the view through the lens will appear 
both in the camera monitor and on the HDMI device.
 Indicators in the monitor and on the 
HDMI device can be hidden or displayed using the  R button.
 To use live view when the 
camera is connected to an HDMI-CEC device, select  Off for  HDMI  > Device control  in the 
setup menu ( 0216).

Movie Settings
Use the Movie settings  option in the shooting menu to adjust the following settings.
• Frame size/frame rate, Movie quality : Choose from the following options:
• Microphone : Turn the built-in or optional ME-1 stereo microphones on or off or 
adjust microphone sensitivity.
 Choose  Auto sensitivity  to adjust sensitivity 
automatically,  Microphone off  to turn sound recording off; to select microphone 
sensitivity manually, select  Manual sensitivity and choose a sensitivity.
