Notes About Movie Recording
BNotes About Saving Images or Movies
The indicator showing the number of exposures remaining or the indicator showing 
the remaining recording time flashes while images or movies are being saved. Do 
not open the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover or remove the 
battery or memory card while an indicator is flashing. Doing this could result in 
loss of data, or in damage to the camera or the memory card.

If the shutter-release button is pressed all the 
way while recording a movie, one frame is saved 
as a still image. Movie recording continues while 
the still image is being saved.
•While  Q is displayed in the monitor, still 
images can be captured. While  z is 
displayed, still images cannot be captured.
• The size of the captured image varies 
depending on the  Movie options setting

When editing movies, use a sufficiently charged battery to prevent the camera 
from turning off during editing. When the battery level indicator is B, movie 
editing is not possible.
Extracting Only the Desired Portion of a Movie
The desired portion of a recorded movi e can be saved as a separate file.

portion that you want to extract (A73).
