The following operations can be performed while a slide
show is in progress:
The options shown at right are dis-
played when the show ends. Select
Resume to restart or  Exit to exit to the
playback menu.

Connections
Pictures can be copied to a computer using ViewNX-i.
Installing ViewNX-i
To upload and view pictures, download the latest version of the
ViewNX-i installer from the following website and follow the on-
screen instructions to complete installation.  An Internet connec-
tion is required.  For system requirements and other information,
see the Nikon website for your region (0xvii).

Copying Pictures to the Computer
Before proceeding, be sure you have installed ViewNX-i (0140).
1Connect the USB cable.
After turning the camera off  and ensuring that a memory
card is inserted, connect the supplied USB cable as shown
and then turn the camera on.
AUse a Reliable Power Source
To ensure that data transfer is not interrupted, be sure the camera
battery is fully charged.
AConnecting Cables
Be sure the camera is off when connecting or disconnecting inter-
face cables.

Connect the camera to a television for playback.
High-Definition Devices
A type D High- Definition  Multimedia  Interface (HDMI) cable
(available separately from third-party suppliers) can be used to
connect the camera to high-definition video devices.

DClose the Connector Cover
Close the connector cover when the connectors are not in use. Foreign
matter in the connectors can interfere with data transfer.
ATelevision Playback
Volume can be adjusted using the co ntrols on the television; adjusting
volume on the camera has no effect. Use of an EH-5b AC adapter and
EP-5F power connector (available separately) is recommended for
extended playback.

Selected JPEG images can be printed on a PictBridge printer
connected directly to the camera.
Connecting the Printer
Connect the camera using the supplied USB cable.
1Turn the camera off.
2Connect the USB cable.
Turn the printer on and connect the USB cable. Do not use
force or attempt to insert the connectors at an angle.
3Turn the camera on.
A welcome screen will be displayed in the monitor, followed
by a PictBridge playback display. To print pictures one at a

Printing Pictures One at a Time
1Display the desired picture.
Press 4 or  2 to view additional pictures. Rotate the com-
mand dial right to zoom  in on the current frame (0131;
rotate the dial left to exit zoom). To view nine pictures at a
time, rotate the dial left when a picture is displayed full frame.
Use the multi selector to high light pictures, or rotate the
command dial right to displa y the highlighted picture full
frame.
2Adjust printer settings.

cancel before all copies have been printed, press  J again.
