Manage WPS Settings
You can control how WPS functions on the modem router. Use caution if you\
 change the 
WPS settings.
Note: For information about how to use WPS to add WiFi devices and other 
equipment to your WiFi network, see Join the WiFi Network of the 
Modem Router  on page  21 and  Use the WPS Wizard to Add a Device 
to the WiFi Network on page  45.

•Keep Existing Wireless Settings. By default, the Keep Existing Wireless Settings 
check boxes are selected for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
NETGEAR recommends that you leave these check boxes selected. However, when 
these check boxes are selected, some applications might not detect the modem 
router.

When you clear a Keep Existing Wireless Settings check box and you

To manage the advanced WiFi features:

Launch an Internet browser from a computer or WiFi device that is connec\
ted to the 
network.

A login window opens.

If you did not yet personalize your password, type  password for the password.

If a server is part of your network, you can allow certain types of incoming traffic to reach the 
server. For example, you might want to make a local web server, FTP server, or game server 
visible and available to the Internet.
