Radio Tuning Setup5-3 3.0 Radio Tuning Setup A personal computer (PC), Windows 95/98 and a tuner program are required to tune the radio. To perform the tuning procedures, the radio must be connected to the PC, radio interface box (RIB), and test equipment setup as shown in Figure 5-4. Chapter 6 POWER UP SELF-TEST 1.0 Error Codes Turning on the radio starts a self-test routine that checks the radio functionality. If the checks are successful, the radio generates a high-pitched self-test pass tone. If the self-test is not successful, one low-pitched (300Hz) error tone is heard and the RED LED flashes several times to indicate the reason for the failure (see Table 6-1 below).
