Note The main wash is longer with an effective rinse cycle to improve the removal of soiling. Notes – Please follow the manufacturers care instructions. – Remove any coarse soiling with a brush first. – Close any velcro strips. – Do not use fabric softener. – Use a drying basket when drying with a tumble dryer. – A pre-rinse is carried out automaticallywithoutdetergent to remove dust. Select or deselect Extras via the appropriate buttons and the display. Press theShortorStainsbutton and/or theFurther extrasbutton. Short For light to normal soiling with no visible staining. The wash time is reduced. Stains You can select different stain options to achieve the optimum washing result. The programme is adjusted according to the type of stain selected. One type of stain per wash programme can be selected. If Short was selected previously, it will be deactivated automatically. Leave theStainssub-menu by pressing theStainsbutton. Further extras The sub-menu Further extras appears in the display. The Extras available for this programme will be displayed. Water plus Scroll through the list of Extras by pressing theDelay start()orSpin speed() buttons. To select the displayed Extra, press the Temperature(OK) button. Only one Extra can be selected in Further Extras. If you press theFurther extras button again, the selected Extra will be deselected. Water plus The water level in the main wash and the rinses will be increased if the Water plus option is selected. However, you can select other settings forWater plus. These are described in Settings. Extras 34
Pre-wash For laundry with large amounts of dirt e.g. dust, sand. Soak For heavily soiled and stained items with protein stains. You can select a soak time of between 30 minutes and 2 hours in 30-minute increments (see Settings). The factory default setting is 2 hours. Extra quiet You can reduce the noise level of the washing machine if you want to wash during rest periods, e.g. at night. IfExtra quietis selected, the machine wont spin andRinse holdwill be activated. The programme duration will be longer. To deactivate Rinse hold Choose the spin speed by pressing the Spin button. Use the Delay start function to postpone the final spin until after any rest periods. Extras 35

It takes in the right amount of water required for the programme depending on the amount of laundry and its absorbency rate. This means that programme cycles and durations can vary. The programme sequences outlined in the chart are based on the basic programme with a full load. Extras which can be selected have not been taken into account. The programme sequence display shows the stage the programme has reached.Special features in the programme sequences: Anti-crease: The drum will continue to rotate for up to 30 minutes after the programme end to avoid creasing. Exceptions : There is no crease protection in theWoollens programme. The washing machine door can be opened at any time. 1)Two rinses are carried out if a temperature selected is between 60°C to 90°C. Three rinses are carried out if the temperature selected is below 60°C. 2)A third or fourth rinse is carried out if: – there is too much foam in the drum – a spin speed lower than 700 rpm has been selected –Nohas been selected 3)A third rinse is carried out if: – Nohas been selected 4)Laundry is only spun after the main wash. 5)Run-up to spin: A run-up to spin is carried out before the wash process begins to deflate pillows.
