Opening the drum door in the event of a blocked drain outlet and/or power failure Switch the washing machine off. 1. 2. Open the drum door Always make sure that the drum is stationary before reaching into the machine to remove laundry. Reaching into a moving drum is extremely dangerous. The drain filter access flap is visible when the drum door is open. Use the lever to open the access flap. Unscrew the drain filter completely.Check that the impeller can turn easily. Remove any foreign objects (e.g. buttons, coins, etc.) and fluff. Then clean the drain filter and the drain filter housing. Put the drain filter back in place and secure.
