Refrigerator section Condensate and frost can build up on the back wall of the refrigerator section whilst it is in use. These are automatically removed and defrosted by the appliance. The condensate is drained away via a channel and drain hole into an evaporation system at the back of the appliance. Never use cleaning agents containing abrasive substances such as sand, soda, acids or chemical solvents. Non-abrasive cleaning agents are also unsuitable as they can cause matt areas to appear. Ventilation gaps ^The ventilation gaps should be cleaned regularly with a brush or vacuum cleaner. A build-up of dust will increase the energy consumption of the appliance.
