    							Detergent type
    For optimum results you can
    programme your dishwasher via the
Detergent type menu for the type of
    detergent you are using.
    The options available are: normal
dishwasher detergent, 2 in 1 tabs or
    Combi tabs.
    The programme sequence and duration
will be adjusted for the type of
    detergent selected.
The appliance is set at the factory for
    using normal dishwasher detergent.
^Select the detergent type you want
    and confirm with
    OK.
    Normal detergent:
    When using Normal detergent, you
must add salt and rinse aid (see Filling
the salt reservoir, and Adding rinse aid).
The rinse aid refill reminder is active
    with this setting.
    2 in 1 tabs:
Select the 2 in 1 function if you are
using 2 in 1 tabs (detergent containing
    rinse aid). The programme sequence
will be adjusted, and rinse aid will not
be dispensed in the programme. The
Rinse aid low message is also
    deactivated.
When using 2 in 1 tabs, you must still
keep the salt reservoir replenished. See
    Filling the salt reservoir.Combi tabs:
Select the Combi tabs function if you
    are using Combi tabs (detergent
    containing rinse aid and salt
    substitutes, as well as other
    components where applicable) e.g.
    3 in 1, 4 in 1 tabs. The programme
sequence will be adjusted, and rinse
aid will not be dispensed in the
    programme. The Replenish rinse aid
    message is also deactivated.
When using Combi tabs, you must still
keep the salt reservoir replenished. See
    Filling the salt reservoir. Salt
consumption in the water softener is
    reduced to between1/3and1/4of the
    normal amount.
Do not select the Combi tabs function
    if:
    – using 2 in 1 tabs (detergent with
    rinse aid)
    – your water hardness level is above
    3.8 mmol/l or 21 °d.
    Follow the detergent manufacturers
    instructions.
    The cleaning and drying
    performance of these types of
    detergent can vary enormously.

    Water hardness
Your dishwasher is fitted with a water
    softener sensor which determines the
water hardness level of your local water
    supply automatically.
    After your dishwasher has been
    through one programme cycle (e.g.
Pre-wash), you can call up the water
hardness level measured by the water
softener sensor via the Water hardness
    option.
