31MAGIC REMOTE CONTROL Using the Magic Remote Control • Shake the magic remote control lightly when there is no pointer displayed on the screen. A pointer will be displayed on the screen. -The pointer disappears if the remote control is not used for a certain period of time. • When you move the pointer signal transmitter up/down/left/right while pointing it toward the projector, the pointer moves. -If the pointer is not working properly, do not move the magic remote control for about 10 seconds, and then try again. • If you press the navigation button while moving the pointer on the screen, the pointer disappears, and the magic remote control works as a common remote control. • Use within an effective distance of 10 meters. Using the remote control from greater distances or when obstructions block the sight line may cause malfunctions. • Electronic devices nearby may cause communication interference. Devices such as microwave ovens and wireless LANs use the same frequency range (2.4 GHz) as the Magic Remote Control and may cause interference. • Take care not to bang it against other hard objects such as furniture or\ the floor.
32USING THE PROJECTOR USING THE PROJECTOR Connecting the Antenna or Cable To watch TV using an indoor/outdoor antenna, connect a wall terminal and\ the antenna port of the Projector using an RF cable (75 Ω). You can watch terrestrial or cable (analog, digital) TV. (The RF cabl\ e is sold separately.)  • Make sure not to bend the copper wire of the RF cable (75 Ω). Turn the input jack to the right to fasten it. • Ensure you use a standard coaxial cable (75 Ω, sold separately) when connecting to the projector input. • For better image quality in locations where signal strength is low, purchase and install a signal amplifier (booster). • A signal splitter is required if you want to use two or more projectors through one antenna. • If you have any problems when installing the antenna, please consult a suitable retailer or the store where you purchased the antenna. 33USING THE PROJECTOR Watching Projector Initial Setup The menu screen display in this owner's manual is an example to help users understand how to operate the product and may look different from the actual screen. 1 Connect the power cord correctly. 2 After waiting for a moment, press the POWER button on the remote control or the joystick button. 3 When you turn on the projector for the first time, a setting screen appears as shown below. Here, you can specify the items required for watching the projector more easily. -Store mode is used when displaying the product in-store. The picture mode is automatically reset after a certain period of time. You can select Home to use the product at home.
35USING THE PROJECTOR -The initial settings are completed when you select the settings above. • For Auto Tuning while using the projector, go to (Home) → SETTINGS → CHANNEL and select Auto Tuning. • To change the mode while using the projector, go to (Home) → SETTINGS → OPTION and select Mode Setting. 36USING THE PROJECTOR Focus and Position of the Screen Image When an image appears on the screen, check if it is in focus and fits the screen properly. Focus Ring Zoom Ring • To adjust the focus of the image, rotate the focus ring. • To adjust the size of the image, rotate the zoom ring. To move the screen image upward/downward, adjust the height of the foot at the bottom of the projector. PUSH: Front foot adjustment button • While pressing the PUSH button, adjust the projector upward/downward until the screen image is in the desired position. • When you release the PUSH button, the front foot becomes fixed at the current position.
37USING THE PROJECTOR Watching With the Projector 1 When in standby mode, press the POWER button to turn the projector on. 2 Select the (Home) → INPUT LIST and select the input signal you want. 3 Control the projector using the following buttons while watching projector. ButtonDescription CHChanges the TV channel. VOLAdjusts the volume level. (MUTE)Mutes the sound from the projector. 4 To turn the projector off, press the POWER button.
38USING THE PROJECTOR To Set Channel Image shown may differ from your projector. To View Program Information Displays information on current program and / or current time, etc. 1 Move the pointer of the Magic Remote control to the top of the projector screen. 2 Click the activated channel banner area. 3 The program details will be displayed at the bottom of the projector screen. 1 2 3 Description 1 Program name 2 Current time 3 Detail information on program (for digital broadcast) To Set Favorite Channels (Home) → SETTINGS → CHANNEL → Channel Edit 1 Move to the desired channel on Wheel (OK) button. Channel is selected. 2 Press Set as Favorite. 3 Select the desired Favorite channel group. 4 Select OK. Favorite is set.
39USING THE PROJECTOR To Use Favorite (Home) → MY APPS → Ch. List Channel list will appear. Select the desired preset favorite channel fro\ m Favorite List A to D. To Set Auto Tuning (Home) → SETTINGS → CHANNEL → Auto Tuning Automatically tunes the channels. • Channels are not registered properly unless the antenna / cable is connected correctly. • Auto Tuning only sets channels that are currently broadcasting. • If Lock System is turned on, a pop-up window will appear asking for password. To Set Channels Manually (Home) → SETTINGS → CHANNEL → Manual Tuning Adjusts channels manually and saves the results. For digital broadcasting, signal strength, etc. can be checked. To Edit Channels (Home) → SETTINGS → CHANNEL → Channel Edit Edits the saved channels Set your selected channel as favorite, block / unblock, and Add / Delete\ .
40USING THE PROJECTOR Additional Options To adjust Aspect Ratio Select (Home) → SETTINGS → PICTURE → Aspect Ratio Selects the screen aspect ratio. MenuDescription 16:9Resizes images to fit the screen width. Just Scan Displays video images in the original size without removing parts of the edge of the image. • In DTV / HDMI / Component (over 720p) mode, Just Scan is available. Set By ProgramDepending on the input signal, screen aspect ratio changes to 4:3 or 16:9. 4:3Resizes images to the previous standard 4:3. ZoomResizes the image to fit the screen width. The top and bottom parts of the image may be cut off. Cinema Zoom 1Formats an image to the cinema scope ratio (2.35:1) and zooms in on the ratio. • While viewing an external device, these cases may result in image burn : - a video with stationary caption (such as network name) - 4:3 aspect ratio mode for an extended period. Take caution when using these functions. • Available picture size may differ depending on the input signal. • The screen aspect ratios on HDMI-PC input are available in 4:3 and 16:9 only. NOTE
