    Start	up	your	c omputer,	a nd	i nsert	t he	s upplied	\f D-ROM	disc	into	your	computer’s	\fD-ROM	drive.	An	installation	wizard	will	walk	you	through	the	quick	and	uncomplicated	installation	process.	To 	 install 	Nero	MediaHome	4	Essentials,	proceed	as	follows:
    1.	 \flose	all	Microsoft	Windows 	 programs 	 and 	 exit 	any	anti-virus	software	that	may	be	running.
    2.	 Insert	the	supplied	\fD-ROM	disc	into	your	computer’s	\fD-ROM	drive.
    3.	 \flick	[Nero	MediaHome	4	Essentials].
    4.	 \flick	[Run]	to	start	installation.
    5.	 \flick	[Nero	MediaHome	4	Essentials].	The 	installation	is	prepared	and	the	installation	wizard	appears.	
    6.	 \flick	the	[Next]	button	to	display	the	serial	number	input	screen.	\flick	[Next]	to	go	to	the	next	step.
    7.	 If	you	accept	all	conditions,	click	[I	accept	the	License	\fonditions]	check	box	and	click	[Next].	Installation	is	not	possible	without	this	agreement.
    8.	 \flick	[ Typical]	and	click	[Next].	The 	 installation 	process	is	started.
    9.	 If	you	want	to	take	part	in	the	anonymous	collection	of	data,	s elect	t he	c heck	b ox	a nd	c lick 	the	[Next]	button.
    10.	\flick	the	[Exit]	button	to	complete	the	installation.
    Sharing files and folders 
    On	your	computer,	you	must	share	the	folder	contained	movie,	music	and/or	photo	content	to	play	them	on	this	player.	
    This	parts	explains	the	procedure	for	selecting	the	shared	folders	on	your	computer.
    1.	 Double-click	the	“Nero 	 MediaHome 	 4 	 Essentials”	icon	on	the	desktop.
    2.	 \flick	[Network]	icon	on	the	left	and	define	your	network	name	in	the	[Network	name]	field.	T he 	Network	name	you	enter	will	be	recognized	by	your	player.
    3.	 \flick	[Shares]	icon	on	the	left.
    4.	 \flick	[Local	\bolders]	tab	on	the	[Shares]	screen.
    5.	 \flick	[Add]	icon	to	open	the	[Browse	\bolder]	window.
    6.	 Select	the	folder	containing	the	files	you	want	to	share.	The	 selected 	 folder 	 is 	 added 	 to 	 the 	 list 	of	shared	folders.
    7.	 \flick	[Start	Server]	icon	to	start	the	server.

    Resolution
    HDMI OU\b connection
    	yIf	you	select	a	resolution	manually	and	then	connect	the	HDMI	jack	to	T V 	 and 	 your 	T V 	 does 	not	accept	it,	the	resolution	setting	is	set	to	[Auto].
    	yIf	you	select	a	resolution	that	your	TV 	 does 	 not 	accept,	the	warning	message	will	appear.	After	resolution	change,	if	you	cannot	see	the	screen,	please	wait	20	seconds	and	the	resolution	will	automatically	revert	back	to	the	previous	resolution.
    	yThe	1080p	video	output	frame	rate	may	be	automatically	set	to	either	24	Hz	or	60	Hz	depending	both	on	the	capability	and	preference	of	the	connected	TV 	 and 	 based 	 on 	the	native	video	frame	rate	of	the	content	on	the	BD-ROM	disc.

    Maintenance
    Handling the Unit
    When shipping the un\sit
    Please	save	the	original	shipping	carton	and	packing	materials.	If	you	need	to	ship	the	unit,	for	maximum	protection,	re-pack	the	unit	as	it	was	originally	packed	at	the	factory.
    Keeping	the	exterior	surfaces	clean
    	yDo	not	use	volatile	liquids	such	as	insecticide	spray	near	the	unit.	
    	yWiping	with	strong	pressure	may	damage	the	surface.
    	yDo	not	leave	rubber	or	plastic	products	in	contact	with	the	unit	for	a	long	period	of	time.
    \fleaning the unit
    To	clean	the	player,	use	a	soft,	dry	cloth.	If	the	surfaces	are	extremely	dirty,	use	a	soft	cloth	lightly	moistened	with	a	mild	detergent	solution.	Do	not	use	strong	solvents	such	as	alcohol,	benzine,	or	thinner,	as	these	might	damage	the	surface	of	the	unit.
    Maintaining the Unit
    The	unit	is	a	high-tech,	precision	device.	If	the	optical	pick-up	lens	and	disc	drive	parts	are	dirty	or	worn,	the	picture	quality	could	be	diminished.	\bor	details,	please	contact	your	nearest	authorized	Service	\fenter.
    Notes on Discs
    Handling Discs
    Do	not	touch	the	playback	side	of	the	disc.	Hold	the	disc	by	the	edges	so	that	fingerprints	do	not	get	on	the	surface.	Never	stick	paper	or	tape	on	the	disc.
    Storing Discs
    After	playing,	store	the	disc	in	its	case.	Do	not	expose	the	disc	to	direct	sunlight	or	sources	of	heat	and	never	leave	it	in	a	parked	car	exposed	to	direct	sunlight.
    \fleaning Discs
    \bingerprints	and	dust	on	the	disc	can	cause	poor	picture	quality	a nd	s ound	d istortion.	B efore	p laying, 	clean	the	disc	with	a	c lean	c loth.	W ipe	t he	d isc	f rom 	the	center	to	out.
