21 ENGENGLISH ASSEMBLING AND PREPARING Using the Kensington security system (This feature is not available for all models.) yImage shown may differ from your TV. The Kensington security system connector is located at the rear of the TV. For more information of installation and using, refer to the manual provided with the Kensington security system or visit http://www.kensington.com. Connect the Kensington security system cable between the TV and a table. Mounting on a wall Attach a wall mount bracket at the rear of the TV carefully and install the wall mount bracket on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. When you attach the TV to other building materials, please contact qualified personnel. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer. Securing the TV to a wall yImage shown may differ from your TV. 1 Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts on the back of the TV. - If there are bolts inserted at the eye-bolts position, remove the bolts first. 2 Mount the wall brackets with the bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV. 3 Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface. y Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely. NOTE (Only 22LK33**, 19/22/26LV25**, 22/26LV55**, 19/22LV23**) Cable Management Clip Cable Holder 2 Gather and bind the cables with the Cable Holder. Install the LAN cable as shown to reduce the electromagnetic wave(Only 50PV350T, 50/60PZ250T, 42/50PW450T, 42/50PW451T, 50/60PZ550T). yDo not move the TV by holding the Cable Holder & Power Cord Holder, as the Cable holders may break, and injuries and damage to the TV may occur. 25 ENGENGLISH REMOTE CONTROL REMOTE CONTROL The descriptions in this manual are based on the buttons on the remote c\ ontrol. Please read this manual carefully and use the TV correctly. To replace batteries, open the battery cover, replace batteries (1.5 V AAA) matching and ends to the label inside the compartment, and close the battery cover. Be sure to point the remote control to the remote control sensor on the TV. To remove the batteries, perform the installation actions in reverse. yDo not mix old and new batteries, as this may damage the remote control.\ CAUTION (POWER) Turns the TV on or off. 29 ENGENGLISH WATCHING TV WATCHING TV yFor optimum picture quality, adjust antenna direction. yIn poor signal areas, to achieve better picture quality it may be necessary to install a signal amplifier to the antenna. yIf the image quality is poor with an antenna connected, aim the antenna to the correct direction. yAn antenna cable and converter are not supplied. NOTE Turning the TV on for the first time When you turn the TV on for the first time, the Initial setting screen appears. Select a language and customize the basic settings. 1 Connect the power cord to a power outlet. 2 In Standby mode, press (POWER) to turn the TV on. The Initial setting screen appears if you turn the TV on for the first time. yYou can also access Factory Reset by accessing OPTION in the main menus. NOTE Wall Antenna Socket Connecting an antenna Connect an antenna to watch TV while referring to the following. To prevent damage do not connect to the mains outlet until all connections are made between the devices. Connect the TV to a wall antenna socket with an RF cable (75 Ω). 3 Follow the on-screen instructions to customize your TV settings according to your preferences. Selects a language to display. Selects Home Use for the home environment. Sets the power indicator.(When you select Home Use from Mode Setting - only LED LCD TV) Selects a country to display. (Depending on model) Language Mode Setting Power Indicator Country Time Zone Set Password Auto Tuning Selects the time zone and daylight saving.(When Russia is selected for Country) Scans and saves available programmes automatically. Set the password. (When France is selected for Country)
30 ENGENGLISH WATCHING TV yFor those countries without confirmed DTV broadcasting standards, some DTV features might not work, depending on the DTV broadcasting environment. yWhen France is selected for Country, password is not ‘0’, ‘0’, ‘0’, ‘0’ but ‘1’, ‘2’, ‘3’, ‘4’. NOTE 4 When the basic settings are complete, press OK. yIf you do not complete the Initial setting, it will appear whenever the TV turns on. yDisconnect the power cord from the power outlet when you do not use the TV for a long period of time. NOTE 5 To turn the TV off, press (POWER). Watching TV 1 In Standby mode, press (POWER) to turn the TV on. 2 Press INPUT and select Antenna. 3 To turn the TV off, press (POWER). The TV switches to Standby mode. Managing programmes Selecting Antenna, Use this to automatically find and store all avail- able programmes. When you start auto programming, all previously stored service information will be deleted. 1 Press Home to access the main menus. 2 Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to SETUP and press OK. 3 Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to Auto Tuning and press OK. 4 Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to Antenna and press OK. 5 Select Start to start automatic tuning. The TV scans and saves available pro- grammes automatically. 6 When you are finished, press EXIT. When you return to the previous menu, press BACK. Automatically setting up pro- gramme NOTE yIf the TV scans a blocked programme, you will be prompted to enter your password to keep the programme scanned. yYou can store up to 1,000 programmes. The number of programmes that you can store differs depending on the broadcasting signal environment. y Automatic Numbering: Decide whether to use the programme numbers as sent by broadcasting stations for tuning. yWhen select Italy in the Country menu, if the pop up is displayed when the conflicted pro-gramme after Auto Tuning, select a broad-caster for conflicting programme number to solve. yIn the following country, DVB cable can be used : Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Austria, Finland, Norway, Slovenia, Hungary, Ukraine, Ireland, Poland, Romania, Spain, Bulgaria, Russia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia. (The supported country can be added.) yIn the following country, Digital TV can not be used : Bosnia, Kazakhstan. (Only Plasma TV).
