Selecting a paper size for copies
If you have more than one tray installed, you can load two different sizes of paper. This will allow you to select up
to two different paper sizes for copies. To select a paper size other than the current default size (loaded in Tray 1):

Copying multiple pages onto a single sheet
In order to save paper, you can copy either two or four consecutive pages of a multiple-page document onto a single
sheet of paper.
Notes:
The Paper Size must be set to Letter, Legal, A4, or B5 JIS.
The Copy Size must be set to 100%.
This feature is available only when making copies using the ADF.

Use the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software feature to turn scanned images into text you can edit with a
word-processing application.

Use the Moire Reduction feature to help remove wavy patterns from images scanned from magazines or
newspapers.

Setting up the scan directory
1Open a Web browser.
2In the address bar, type the IP address of the printer, and then press Enter.
If the Java applet screen appears, click Yes.
3Click Scan Destination.
4Under New Destination, from the drop-down menu, select Email,FTP, or PC.
5Enter your scan settings, and then click Submit.
Note: If authorization is required, enter the administrator password before clicking Submit.
