Printing from a USB flash memory device
A USB Direct interface is located on the control panel. Insert a USB flash memory device to print supported file types.
Supported file types include: .pdf, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .bmp, .png, .tiff, .tif, .pcx, and .dcx.
Many USB flash memory devices are tested and approved for use with the printer. For more information, visit the

type (for example, .jpg).

Printing a font sample list
To print samples of the fonts currently available for your printer:
1Make sure the printer is on and Ready appears.

Canceling a print job
There are several methods for canceling a print job. The following sections explain how to cancel a print job from the
control panel or from a computer (depending on the operating system).

If the job is formatting or already printing, and Cancel a job appears on the first line of the display:
1Press  until Cancel appears.

Avoiding jams
The following hints can help you avoid jams:
Use only recommended paper or specialty media.
For more information, see the Card Stock & Label Guide available on the Lexmark Web site at
www.lexmark.com/publications.
Do not load too much paper. Make sure the stack height does not exceed the indicated maximum height.
Do not load wrinkled, creased, damp, or curled paper.
Flex, fan, and straighten paper before loading it.
Do not use paper that has been cut or trimmed by hand.
