Manual image setup
If automatic image setup does not establish the image that you prefer, perform 
manual image setup.
Note:  Have your monitor powered on for about 15 minutes, until the monitor warms 
up.

Installing the monitor driver in Windows Vista
 To install the device driver in Microsoft® Windows Vista, do the following:

1.  Turn off the computer and all attached devices. 
2.  Ensure that the monitor is connected correctly.

Installing the monitor driver in Windows XP
To use the Plug and Play feature in Wind ows XP, files should be loaded from the 
Reference and Driver CD.
Note:  This section must be completed befo re continuing with the Windows XP 
automatic image setup.
1. Turn off the computer and all attached devices.
2. Ensure that the monitor is connected correctly.
3. Turn on the monitor and then the system unit. Allow the system to boot into  Wi n d ow s  X P.

Chapter 4. Working with L2230x Wide USB Port Replicator Monitor 
Connect the USB Port Replicator for the monitor 
1.  Be sure to install the  USB Port Replicator driv er for L2230x Wide USB Port Replicator  
monitor on your computer. The driver name is “Usb_PR_Setup.exe.
   2.   Plug L2230x Wide USB Port Replicator monitor power cord, and power on L2230x Wide 
USB Port Replicator Monitor.
       
  3. Connect the USB B plug of the USB cable to the USB B receptacle connector on 
    L2230x Wide USB Port...

For the Windows XP operating system:  
a.  Click the Audio tab.   
b. Select a USB audio line-out device from the  Sound playback list, and select a USB  
   audio line-in device from the  Sound Recording list.   
c.  If you can not use USB microphone connector (red) , you can Click “  Te s t  hardware(T) 
     on the  Audio tab. 
For the Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system:   
 Click the  Playback tab to select a USB audio line-out device and click the Sound 
Recording tab to select a USB audio...

For the Windows XP or Windows Vista operating system:   
a. Click L2230x Wide USB Port Replicator Monitor icon in the taskbar 
    notification ar ea. The pop-up menu opens.   
b. Select Extend or Mirror .  
Note:  If you are to use the Extend mode, decide which monitor you are to set as primary 
and which the secondary. Then, select  System -Primary or 
Second Display -Primary.  
For the Windows 7 operating system :  
a. Click L2230x Wide USB Port Replicator Monitor  icon in the taskbar...

Troubleshooting  
1. Your computer does not recognize the port replicator of the monitor.   
Disconnect the USB cable from your computer, wait at least five seconds, and reinsert  
it into the USB connector of your computer. If the problem persists, try connecting  
the USB cable to a different USB connector of your computer.  
2. The monitor display is blank.    Verify that the computer connected to the port replicator of the monitor is running  
correctly and is not in Standby or Hibernate mode....

   window opens. For Windows Vista and Windows 7 users, the Sound window opens. 
 C. Depending on the operating system you are using, do one of the following:
  
For the Windows XP operating system:
