DISPLAYING A ROUTE
Route map
During destination guidance, the system can 
display a map showing the planned route.
•Turn the right rotary control (10) to select 
‘Route map’.
•Press the control (10) to confirm selection.
The route map is automatically shown if 
destination guidance takes you into a region 
which has not yet been fully digitised on the 
inserted map CD.

AVOIDING ROAD CONGESTION
You can, during destination guidance, deviate 
from planned sections of the route. You indicate 
the distance in miles after which you wish to 
return to the original route.
•Turn the right rotary control (10) to select 
‘New route’.
•Press the control (10) to confirm selection.
•Turn the control again to select the desired 
distance.
•Press the control again to confirm selection.

To avoid the congestion, turn the right rotary 
control and select ‘Diversion’. 
The navigation system calculates a new route 
and then returns to destination guidance mode.
If you have selected another mode whilst 
destination guidance is still active and the 
navigation system detects congestion ahead, you 
are automatically prompted to take a diversion.

VEHICLE POSITION
You can call-up the present location of your 
vehicle or display a road map showing your 
position.

With the starter switch in position ‘I’ or ‘II’ press 
the MENU button (9).
