DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION 4.32 DEFENDER 97 MY INSTRUMENTS DESCRIPTION The vehicle relays information to the driver via the instrument pack. The instrument pack contains lamps and analogue gauges. The colour of the lamp denotes the severity of the information. Warning lamps are red, caution lamps are orange, green and blue lamps indicate that a system is operating. Pressing the centre of the cigar lighter latches the heater element into the holder. With the ignition in position II, power flows through the heating element of the cigar lighter, causing it to heat up.
