Optional Equipment 4-4OPERATION GUIDE Document Processor Automatically scans originals. Also you can perform duplex copying and split copying. For document processor operation, refer to Loading Originals in the Document Processor on page 2-49. Paper Feeder Two additional cassettes identical to the printer’s double cassettes can be installed in the printer. Paper capacity and loading method are the same as Cassettes 1 and 2. Optional Equipment 4-6OPERATION GUIDE • When stapling 11 × 17, 5 1/2 × 8 1/2, A3 or B4 paper, open the finisher tray extension to ensure that the paper does not fall out of the tray. Optional Equipment OPERATION GUIDE4-7 4 4Holding the staple holder in your left hand and a new staple case in your right hand, insert the staple case into the staple holder in the direction of the arrow. 5Insert the staple case fully as far as it will go. Pull to remove the paper tape wound on the staple case. 6Insert the staple holder into the slot of the staple unit again. When fully inserted, the staple holder locks with a clicking sound. Clearing Staple Jams 1Pull out the staple holder referring to steps 1 and 2 of Adding Staples. 2Holding the knob A on the face plate of the staple holder, lift the face plate. Optional Equipment 4-8OPERATION GUIDE 3Clear the staple jammed in the cartridge end (staple-loaded side). 4Lower the face plate of the staple holder. 5Insert the face plate back in place. When fully inserted, the face plate locks with a clicking sound. 6After lifting the staple unit slightly, lower it and insert it again into its place. 7Close the stapler front cover.
