When Using a Network Connection
The network connection settings can be specified in one of two ways: 
Bonjour Setting and IP printing Setting (IPP, LPD or Socket).
Bonjour Setting
1Connect the machine to an Ethernet network.
2Open Printer Setup Utility, which can be accessed by clicking Startup 
Disk, then Applications, then Utilities.
3In the Printer List, click Add. 
The detected printer appears in the Printer Browser.

4Select KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 3730 (xx:xx:xx) in the Printer 
Browser.
- Specifies the printers name in the Name text box.
- Specifies the printers location in the Location text box.
“xx:xx:xx” refers to the last six digits of the MAC address (in hexa-
decimal).
5Check that KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 3730 is selected in the Print 
Using list.
6Click Add. 
7Click Continue.
The new printer appears in the Printer List screen.

IP Printing Setting
1Connect the machine to an Ethernet network.

5Select desired print protocol from the Protocol pop-up menu.
- For an IPP setup, select Internet Printing Protocol - IPP.
- For an LPD setup, select Line Printer Daemon - LPD.
- For a port 9100 setup, select HP Jet Direct - Socket.

6Enter the IP address for the machine in the Address text box.
- For an LPD setup, lp in the Queue Name text box.
- For an IPP setup, ipp in the Queue Name text box.
- Specifies the printers name in the Name text box.
- Specifies the printers location in the Location text box.
7Check that KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 3730 is selected in the Print 
Using list.
8Click Add.
9Click Continue.
The new printer appears in the Printer List screen.

The procedure for Printer Settings on Mac OS X 10.5 is described 
below. The following procedure or some steps may be different 
depending on the version of the operating system being used.
When Using a USB Connection
1Use a USB cable to connect the printer to your computer.
2Select System Preferences from the Apple menu.
3Click Print & Fax.
4In the Print & Fax, click + button.

the printer is turned on and the USB cable is connected, and then 
restart the computer.
