    When installing:Install the battery pack along the slide
    rails on the left and right sides of the
    battery-pack slot. Make sure that both
    battery latches,aandb, are in the
    locked position, as in the following
    figure.

    For devices compatible with the Ultrabay Slim bay,

    Note:When you release the switch in step1, the lever
    pops out. In step2, pull the lever a little to
    release the device from the bay.

    							1030 Hard-disk drive
    Attention
    vDo not drop or apply any shock to the
    hard-disk drive.The hard-disk drive is sensitive
    to physical shock. Improper handling can cause
    damage and permanent loss of data.
    vBefore removing the drive, have the user make a
    backup copy of all the information on it if
    possible.
    vNever remove the drive while the system is
    operating or is in suspend mode.
    For access, remove this FRU:

    Note:The hard disk is attached to the cover.

    is attached firmly.

    Note:Loosen the screw1, but do not remove it.

    When installing:Insert the notched end of the DIMM into
    the socket. Press the DIMM firmly, and
    pivot it until it snaps into the place.
    Make sure that it is firmly fixed in the
    slot and does not move easily.

    							Press the part indicated by the arrow2in the direction of
    the arrow. Then release the latches of the keyboard from
    the frame. The front side of the keyboard pops out.

    Pull the keyboard a little in the direction of the arrow3,
    and then detach the connector4.

    1. Attach the connector1.

    2. Make sure that the keyboard edges, markedain the
    figure, are under the frame.

    							3. To make sure that the front side of the keyboard is
    housed firmly, gently press the keys with your fingers
    and try to slide the keyboard towards you.
    4. Make sure that all the projections on the front side of
    the keyboardbare firmly attached under the frame.

    5. Secure the keyboard from the underside of the
    computer, using the new screws provided with the
    keyboard.
