    Utilization of the product
    Important safeguards
     The lightning flash with the 
    arrowhead symbol, within an 
    equilateral triangle, is intended to 
    alert the user to the presence of uninsulated 
    “dangerous voltage” within the product’s 
    enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude 
    to constitute an electric shock to persons. 
    The exclamation point within an 
    equilateral triangle is intended to 
    alert the user to the presence of 
    important operating and maintenance 
    (servicing) instructions in the literature 
    accompanying the appliance.
    •  WARNING!
    To prevent fire or electric shock hazard, do 
    not expose this product to rain or moisture. 
    Also do not use this unit’s polarized plug with 
    an extension cord receptacle or other outlets, 
    unless the prongs can be fully inserted. 
    Refrain from opening the cabinet, as there are 
    high-voltage components inside. When you 
    unplug the power cord from AC outlet, hold 
    the plug properly, do not touch metallic parts, 
    do not pull the cord, do not repair, hazard and 
    overheat it.  
    •  WARNING!
    Still image (immovable) screen may  permanent damage to PDP. Lengthy displayed 
    still images from Video games, banners, graphics 
    and others may fatally damage the screen. 
    When using the PDP in 4:3 formats with 
    sidebars for a long period of time, it may 
    cause damage to the plasma panel. It is 
    recommended that you use 16:9 or other 
    formats (image sticking can be avoided by 
    using “Panel” function of the Setting’s sub 
    menu, however once image sticking occurs, it 
    may not disappear completely, an image will 
    be dimmed as the image is displayed long time 
    or repeatedly. All damages caused by wrong 
    usage, do not belong to guarantee service.

    Your product has been manufactured and 
    tested with your safety in mind. However, 
    improper use can result in potential electrical 
    shock or fire hazards. To avoid defeating the 
    safeguards that have been built into your new 
    product, please read and observe the following 
    safety points when installing and using your new 
    product, and save them for future reference.
    Observing the simple precautions discussed 
    in this booklet can help you get many years of 
    enjoyment and safe operation that are built into 
    your new product. 1. Read Instructions: All the safety and 
    operating instructions should be read before 
    the product is operated. All operating and use

    instructions should be followed.2. Retain Instructions: The safety and 
    operating instructions should be retained for 
    future reference. 3. Heed Warnings: All warnings on the 
    product and in the operating instructions 
    should be adhered to. 4. Accessories, Carts, and Stands: Do 
    not place this product on a slippery or tilted 
    surface, or on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, 
    bracket, or table. The product may slide or 
    fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, 
    and serious damage to the product. Use only 
    with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table 
    recommended by the manufacturer, or sold 
    with the product. Any mounting of the product 
    should follow the manufacturer’s instructions, 
    and should use a mounting accessory 
    recommended by the manufacturer.
    If you install your plasma display panel with 
    a pedestal, please keep a space at list 10cm at 
    above, left, and right of the TV, and 6cm under, 
    7 cm behind to get a well ventilation; Besides, 
    please keep at list 10cm above, under, right, 
    left, and 2 cm behind if you select other 
    installation ways. 5. Attachments: Do not use attachments not 
    recommended by the product manufacturer as 
    they may cause hazards. 6. Power Sources: This product should be 
    operated only from the type of power source 
    indicated on the marking label. If you are not 
    sure of the type of power supply to your home, 
    consult your product dealer or local power 
    company. For products intended to operate 
    from battery power, or other sources, refer to 
    the operating instructions. 7. Outdoor Antenna Grounding:  If an 
    outside antenna or cable system is connected 
    to the product, be sure the antenna or cable 
    system is grounded so as to provide some 
    protection against voltage surges and built-up 
    static charges. 8. Power Lines: An outside antenna system 
    should not be located in the vicinity of overhead 
    power lines or other electric light or power 
    circuits, or where it can fall into such power  lines or circuits. When installing an outside 
    antenna system, extreme care should be taken 
    to keep from touching such power lines or 
    circuits, as contact with them might be fatal.
    9. Servicing: Do not attempt to service 
    this product yourself as opening or removing 
    covers may expose you to dangerous voltage 
    or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified 
    service personnel. 10. Damage Requiring Service: Unplug this 
    product from the wall outlet and refer servicing 
    to qualified service personnel under the 
    following conditions:  •  When the power-supply cord or plug is 
    damaged.  •  If liquid has been spilled, or objects have 
    fallen into the product. •  If the product has been exposed to rain or 
    water. •  If the product does not operate normally 
    by following the operating instructions. 
    Adjust only those controls that are covered 
    by the operating instructions as an improper 
    adjustment of other controls may result in 
    damage and will often require extensive work 
    by a qualified technician to restore the product 
    to its normal operation.
    •  If the product has been dropped or the 
    cabinet has been damaged in any way. •  When the product exhibits a distinct 
    change in performance. 11. Water and Moisture: Do not use this 
    product near water, for example, near a bath 
    tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub, in 
    a wet basement, or near a swimming pool. 
    12. Transporting Product: A product and cart 
    combination should be moved with care. Quick 
    stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces 
    may cause the product and cart combination to 
    overturn. 
      Over-press the panel may destroy the 
    product. 13. Ventilation: Slots and openings in the 
    cabinet are provided for ventilation and to ensure 
    reliable operation of the product and to protect 
    it from overheating, and these openings must 
    not be blocked or covered. The openings should

    not be blocked by placing the product on a bed, 
    sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product 
    should not be placed in a built-in installation 
    such as a bookcase or rack unless proper 
    ventilation is provided or the manufacturer’s 
    instructions have been adhered to.14. Overloading: Do not overload wall outlets 
    and extension cords as this can result in a risk 
    of fire or electric shock.  15. Cleaning: Unplug this product from the 
    wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid 
    cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a dry cloth 
    for cleaning.  16. Lightning: For added protection for this 
    product (receiver) during a lightning storm, or 
    when it is left unattended and unused for long 
    periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet 
    and disconnect the antenna or cable system. 
    This will prevent damage to the product due to 
    lightning and power-line surges. 17. Overheating: Don’t expose this unit to 
    direct sunlight. Keep away the heating sources 
    or equipments.
      •  After placing PDP screen in warm 
    place after hold place, you need to let it get dry 
    during at least 2 hours before plug-in. •  Do not place PDP screen in hot, dry, cold 
    and dusty places.  •  Do not place PDP screen near the source 
    of strong magnetic field.  •  Do not allow vibration to influence to 
    PDP’s work.  •  Do not put any object on the PDP screen. 
    All images provided herein are schematic 
    drawings of real objects and may differ

    Connection
    Outdoor Antenna ConnectionUse 75Ω coaxial cable plug or 300-75Ω 
    impedance converter to plug in antenna input 
    terminal on the rear of the cabinet.
    Other connections•  Connect the audio sources to the proper 
    stereo audio input jacks ‘L’ and ‘R’. •  Connect the video source to the video 
    input jack by RCA cable. •  Connect the video source to the S-Video 
    input jack of the monitor by the S-video cable 
    (provided that the video source has S-video 
    output jack). •  When using the TV as a computer screen, 
    connect the PC to the VGA jack from the 
    monitor by the relevant cable. •  This unit has PC audio in jack. Connect 
    this jack to PC main unit with related audio 
    cable in PC mode and adjust the volume to

    what you want. •  If the video source has a HDMI output 
    jack, you can connect the signal to this unit by 
    the HDMI cable. •  Connect an external device (e.g., VCR-/
    DVD-recorder) to the proper Audio/Video 
    output jacks of this unit with AV RCA cable. •  Component input Y/Pb/Pr is intended for 
    receiving component video signal if connected 
    to the component output of external signal 
    source.

    Changing the battery1.  Remove the battery compartment cover 
    on the back of the RC. 2.  Insert the batteries into the battery 
    compartment making sure that the correct 
    polarity is observed. 3.  Install the cover back.
    •  Use two AAA batteries for the RC. The RC 
    should be pointed at remote sensor within 8 
    meters and within 30 degrees at the left or the 
    right side. •  Take the battery out of the RC if it is not 
    used for a long time. •  Do not mix new and used batteries or 
    different types of batteries. Weak batteries can 
    leak and severely damage the RC. •  Do not expose the RC to shock, liquids, 
    and do not place it in an area with high 
    humidity.

    General operations
    •  Press POWER button on the unit or on the 
    RC to switch on the power. Press POWER button 
    again to switch the unit into standby mode. •  Press VOL- button repeatedly to decrease 
    the volume; press VOL+ button repeatedly to 
    increase the volume.
    •  Press 
     button to cut off sound, press this 
    button again or adjust volume to resume sound. •  Press SLEEP button repeatedly to set the 
    sleep time (from 0 to 120 min). When sleep 
    time is set, press this button to display the time 
    remaining until the auto turn off. •  Press AUDIO button in TV mode 
    repeatedly to switch between Stereo, Nicam 
    Stereo, Mono, Dual I and Dual II sound modes 
    (can be unavailable for some channels). •  Press SOURCE button on the RC or TV/
    AV button on the unit, then press 
    / 
    cursor buttons to cycle through the available 
    source list as follows: TV - AV1 - AV2 - S-Video 
    - YPbPr1 - YPbPr2 - HDMI1 - HDMI2 - PC. •  Select the TV function mode. Press 
    CH-/CH+ buttons to select previous or next 
    channels; or press number buttons to enter a 
    channel number from 0 to 235 directly. •  Press RECALL button on the RC to select 
    from the present channel and the previously 
    displayed channel. •  Press 
     button to select «Favorite On» 
    or «Favorite Off». When «Favorite On» is 
    selected, press CH+/CH- buttons to select 
    favorite channels. •  Press INFO button to display the preset 
    TV channel play information. •  Press PIP button to switch on or off PIP 
    (Picture In Picture) function.
    Teletext operations (option)Select a TV channel in order to pick up 
    the picture signal of Teletext. Teletext button 
    functions are as follows: TEXT: Press TEXT button to enter into 
    TEXT mode. Press this button again to enter 
    mixed mode. Press the button again to return  to the channel you are watching. Press 
    / buttons or number buttons to select 
    teletext pages. HOLD: Press this button to stop the move 
    to the next page. Press this button again to 
    cancel operation. INDEX: Press this button to go to the index 
    page. SIZE: Press this button to enlarge the top 
    part of the page. Press this button again to 
    enlarge the bottom part of the page. Press this 
    button third time to normal size text page view. REVEAL: Press this button to reveal the 
    cancelled information. Press this button again 
    to cancel the information. SUBPAGE: Press this button to select sub-
    page. Input the number of sub-page and use 
    numeric buttons in the format 0001 for sub 
    page 1. The teletext will search for the sub 
    page. Press SUBPAGE button again to exit the 
    subpage mode. Red/Green/Yellow/Blue buttons: Press 
    these 4 color buttons to access directly to 
    corresponding color page displayed at the 
    lower parts of teletext screen.
    OSD operation
    Press MENU button to enter the OSD 
    menu. Use 
    / buttons to select a setting 
    page. Press / buttons to go to the 
    needed item, then use 
    / buttons to select 
    available setting or to adjust the selected item. 
    Press ENTER button to confirm After setting, press EXIT button to exit menu.

    automatic stand-by of the unit if no operation is 
    made: 2, 3, 4 hours or off. •  Panel lock: select On to lock all buttons 
    on the unit panel. To unlock the buttons select 
    Off or press and hold CH+/CH- buttons for 5 
    seconds. •  Transparency: set the level of the OSD 
    window transparence. •  PIP setting:
    Mode: switch PIP function on/off.
    Source: select PIP source (TV/AV/S-Video).
    Position: adjust the PIP window position.
    •  Reset: setting to the factory default.
