3 Important safety precautions Warning Please unplug the power cord from the AC outlet and contact our service personnel to repair underthe following conditions:xAny obvious abnormality appears in the product, such as smoky, peculiar smell or strange sound. xWhen a liquid has been spilled or other objects have fallen into the product. xNo picture or sound. xCover or panel is broken. xAlthough you have operated the product by following the operating instructions, it still cannot wo rk no rmally. Warning Be careful about the power cord or the plug to avoid the fire or the electric shock.xAlways disconnect the power cord and antenna during the storm. xProtect the power cord from being pinched or squeezed particularly at plugs to avoid the electric shock. xDo not fix the power cord with the metal nail. xUnplug the power cord from the AC outlet; also unplug the signal cables from the input ports when the product is unused for long periods of time or during a lightning storm. xWhen unplug the plug, always hold the wide slot, do not touch the metal part, and do not destroy, refit, twist, pull or roast the power cord. xPlease contact the personnel service immediately if you found that the core is showed in the air or is been broken. xPlease replace the AC outlet if the metal bolt cannot be inserted into the power socket completely or it cannot be fastened even when it was pushed in, otherwise, any accidents of shocks and fires would happen. Instructions All instructions must be read and understood well before you operating this product. Heed all warnings and fo llo w all inst ruct io ns. Attachments Please use the attachment recommended by the manufacturer. Use the inadequate attachments may result in accidents. Adjustment Please adjust the product through the panel buttons or the remote control, do not remove the cover or attempt to service the product by yourself. Do not disassemble back cover and do not make maintenance by yourself to avoid the electric shock. Caution: Over-press the panel may destroy the product. Placement Do not place the product on an unstable cart, stand surface, tripod, bracket, or table. The product may fall, causing serious accidents as well as the damage to the product. Please place the product on a flat surface in a well-ventilated location. Keep it away from the burning-light, direct sunlight, vibration, high-temperature and humidity. Store the product with a temperature from –200 C ~500 C; Otherwise you may destroy the product. Caution: Do not place the LCD TV into closed space; it can reduce the product life time. Keep a space at list 10cm at above, left, and right of the TV. Remote control Do not expose the remote control to shock, liquids, and do not place it in an area with high humidity. Please use the qualified batteries and do not mix batteries with different types. Do not
4 mix old and new batteries, and do not place the batteries to burn or disassemble them. If the remote control is unused for an extend period of time, remove batteries from the remote control. Cords xPlace the signal cord back of the product. Cleaning xUnplug the power cord from the AC outlet before cleaning the product. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners and others; use the special LCD Panel cleaners. Keep the power off before LCD panel dry completely. Caution: Do not use volatile cleaner or you may damage the LCD Panel/Covers. Transportation xDo not overexert or touch the panel when you convey the product. Do not transfer the LCD TV up or down display direction. Other objects xTo ensure not to get an electric shock or short circuit, please do not spill liquid or other objects into the ventilation holes of the product. Caution: Do not stand on the LCD TV, do not push LCD TV or its’ stand. Keep it away from children. Heating xThe temperature of the product’s body becomes a little higher after a long period use. This pheno menon indicates about heat exchange in normal wo rking mode, thus please do not let children or anyone who is sensitive of temperature to touch. Note:All the OSD and illustrations in this manual may be somewhat different fro m the act ua l situation. Please take the LCD Color TV menu as the standard.

6 InstallationAntenna connection 1. Connect the plug of the antenna cable or CATV cable to the cable (not provided with this unit), then connect to the antenna input of this unit for best reception. 2. If the antenna cable in your ho me is other than the above two, or you have problems in installing the antenna, please contact your dealer. Notes: 1. Current outdoor antenna or cable TV usually use 75 Ohm coaxial antenna cable. For better reception suggest using this kind of antenna cable. 2. Flat cable or indoor antenna are old designed, the reception may not be good enough.Battery installation and replacement for remote control unit. The remote control uses two 1.5VAAA batteries. Battery installation and replacement procedure is as follows: 1. Turn the remote control unit upside down. Open the battery compartment cover. 2. Install two new batteries, make sure that battery polarity matches with the “+”, “-“ marks inside the battery. Or not it could damage the unit. 3. Close the battery compartment cover.

9 General operationsTurning ON/OFF 1. Plug the end of the power cord into an appropriate wall outlet and connect the antenna cable or CATV cable. 2. Turn on the TV. Switch on the POWER button on the front panel of TV to connect AC power. When the power of the TV is connected, the power indicator lights up in red, the TV is in standby mode, press the POWER button on the RC or front panel to switch the set to normal operation mode. 3. Turn off the TV. Press the POWER button on the RC or front panel to switch the set to standby mode. Switch off the power switch on the front panel of TV to cut AC power. Note: Unplug the set from the AC outlet when it is not to be used for a long period of time. 4. Select the TV channel or adjust the TV sound. Press PROG+/- buttons on the RC to select memorized TV programs (press VOL+/- buttons to adjust the volume). Press PROGRAM UP/DOWN buttons on the front panel to select memorized TV programs (press VOLUME UP/DOWN buttons to adjust the volume). Press the number buttons to enter a program number direct ly, after a while, the set will turn to the program automatically. Button functions P.P. 1. Press the P.P button on the RC to display the current picture state. 2. Press the P.P button repeatedly to select different picture effect. 3. The on-screen display will disappear in 3 seconds if you stop adjusting. Note: You can select Standard, Bright, Personal or Soft. SLEEP 1. Press the SLEEP button on the RC to display the sleep time. 2. Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to select a time period after which the TV will turn itself o ff. 3. The on-screen display will disappear in 3 seconds if you stop adjusting. Note:You can select 0 (off), 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. In the last minute of the sleep time, the words “POWER OFF” will display at the top left corner of the screen. You can press any button to cancel the setting at this time. S.M 1. Press the S.M button on the RC to display the current sound state. 2. Press the S.M. button repeatedly to select different sound effect. 3. The on-screen display will disappear in 3 seconds if you stop adjusting. Note:You can select News, Theater, Odeum, Personal. AV/TV 1. Press the AV/TV button on the RC to display the signal source selection menu. 2. Press the PROGRAM UP/DOWN button to select your desired signal source. 3. Press the VOLUME UP button to confirm your selection. 4. The on-screen display will disappear in 15 seconds if you stop adjusting. ZOOM (could be different base on different model) 1. Press the ZOOM button on the RC to display the current zoom mode. 2. Press the ZOOM button repeatedly to select your desired picture zoom effect. 3. The on-screen display will disappear in 3 seconds if you stop adjusting. Note: You can select 16:9 or 4:3.
10 FAV Press the FAV. button on the RC repeatedly, it will select FAV. channel in cycle. Q.VIEW Press Q.VIEW button on the RC will switch to last program or source you just watch.
