6 Load paper You can load many different types and sizes of paper in the HP Photosmart, including letter or A4 paper, photo paper, transparencies, and envelopes. In addition, the HP Photosmart lets you load and print directly on the surface of specially coated CDs and DVDs. 4.Insert the stack of paper into the main input tray with the short edge forward and the print side down. Slide the stack of paper forward until it stops. CAUTION: Make sure that the HP Photosmart is idle and silent when you load paper into the main input tray.
