Using the Accessory Rails The monitor features accessory rails on the rear that may be used to mount optional devices, such as the HP speaker bar, to attach to the LCD. Refer to the documentation included with the optional device for detailed mounting instructions. Locating the Rating Labels The rating labels on the monitor provide the spare part number, product number, and serial number. You may need these numbers when contacting HP about the monitor model. 4 Operating the Monitor Software and Utilities The CD that comes with the monitor contains files you can install on the computer: ●an .INF (Information) file ●an .ICM (Image Color Matching) file ●auto-adjustment pattern utility ●additional software for the monitor model Adobe Reader is supplied on this CD and can be installed from the menu. Installing the .INF and .ICM Files After you determine that you need to update, you can install the .INF and .ICM files from the CD or download them. Using the Auto-Adjustment Function You can optimize the screen performance for the VGA (analog) input by using the -/Auto button on the monitor and the auto-adjustment pattern software utility on the CD provided. Do not use this procedure if the monitor is using a DVI input.
