4Adjust the width lever firmly against the
side of the paper (without binding the
paper), then push the warning flap down.
5Put the cover back on the input tray.
6Slide the input tray into the printer until
it locks in place.

Loading Media in the Optional Rear Tray
1Fully open the top cover on the input tray.
2Remove any media and adjust the paper
feed guides for the size of media you are
loading.
Caution
Do not overfill input trays. Excessive media in
input trays can cause media jams in the printer.
Do not feed envelopes in this printer.
3Slide the media into the input tray with
the long edge of the media down.
Make sure the stack is even across the
top. If not, reload the media. If you are
adding paper to the rear input...

4Adjust the paper feed guides with the
paper size selection lever for the current
media size.
The printer automatically senses the size
of media in the rear input tray by the
setting of the paper feed guides. 
Legal, A3, and 11 x 17 inch media sizes
are not supported from the rear input
tray, but are supported from the manual
feed input of the rear feed unit.

Printing Transparencies from an Input Tray
1If you are using the front input tray, make
sure the correct tray size is installed
(Letter or A4). Load up to 50 of the correct
size and type of transparencies in the
input tray with the long edge toward the
back of the tray.
Caution
Handle transparencies by the edges to avoid
leaving finger prints in image areas.
Also, use only transparencies that meet the
specifications for this printer. Using the
incorrect type of transparencies may damage
the printer.
